"Wake up!"

Ellie did.

"Who's that?"

"It's Alex." Through her small bit of consciousness, Ellie could just see the lamppost, Alexandria, and Amelie, as well. The former looked down at her, kneeling on the ground with one eyebrow raised, her face held directly above Ellie's own. Amelie, on the other hand, watched the scene from a significantly higher perch, a rock that was hovering over the post.

"She's up," The same voice said, and as Ellie became less and less drowsy, she realized that she recognized it quite well.

Amelie picked up her satchel and began to pack the small amount of food they had managed to obtain into it, along with pointy sticks and sharp shards of stone.

"Are we going somewhere?" Ellie asked.

"Yes," Alex answered, handing her a pair of glasses.

The voice startled Ellie. She wasn't used to having Alex around; it had always been the same people. At least until...

Ellie put the glasses on, the dark world around her suddenly brightened. "Where are we going?"

"To the Scratch's 'Lair,' if that's what you want to call it." Alex stated. "Let's just say if we hurry then we might have a chance at saving Noah."
