Chapter 3

Sabrinah pulled off in front of my house after magrib prayer. actually after shopping i went to sabrinah's place to help her drop off her things ,made some arrangements ,decided her wedding cake would be baked at farrara bakery & cafe,also booked her hairstylist and make up artist and of course decorations.
Today was really fun,but sabrinah just had to keep on bringing about that adal guy!seriously I need a break!argh.
"Thank you soo much habibti.i really appreciate today!jazakillah khair"sabrina said as she stopped her engine and unlocked the door.
"Oh its okay!wa antum fa jazakillah khair,i had fun too you know!spending time with my best friend was worth it"i answered her back smiling ....
"Okay then good night!dream of me!and don't let the bed bugs bite,lurh ya!"she said
"I hope I won't have to dream of you! But as for good night thank you! In sha Allah i will have!!lurh ya too!assalamu alaykum"i laughed
"Okay wareva!assalmu alaykum"she laughed back and shouted bye as she started her car and took off!i stood there and watched her take off before i turned and headed for my door,I quickly unlocked the door and got it....
I turned on my lights,removed my hijab and jacket,went to the fridge to get water to drink and headed to check if i had any message!
"Assalmu alaykum my baby! I missed you soo much kid!I've been calling you but haven't been able to talk to you!i guess you aren't missing your ammi as much as she does!please call me as soon as you get this!love you!assalamu alaykum"i smiled hearing my mum's voice!i really miss her...my mother my queen...
I made my way to my bedroom and straight to the bathroom to make my wudhu and prayed my isha prayer after which i went back in and took my bath....

After an hour of bathing!mahn I really have to work on the time i spend in there....i wore my pyjamas and went downstairs to call my ammi and after three rings she picked....
"Assalamu alaykum ammi"i shouted grinning like a kid!well I'm her kid..
"Wa alaykum salam reen!you just remembered your mum yeah,how sweet of you"she says with fake pain!urgh mothers....
"No sweet darling momma!its not that I actually went shopping with sabrinah!wedding shopping and all!its stressful ya know"i said trying to sound as sweet as possible....
"Oh yeah true!how is she?!and hope the arrangements are good?!"ammi says!
"Yeah all good alhamdulilla!"i reply playing with the tips of my hair...
"I really cant wait for your wedding shopping too reen"she says out of nowhere!my God whats today?!afreens relationship kinda day or what?!
"AMMI!please not again!you know i hate that topic "i complained
"Oh reen i cant help it!I'm already old ill soon be gone!only God knows how long you'll take to finally accept someone and marry!look at saif and hala already with 4 kids each!please save your ammi!its my last wish!please" urgh!emotional black mail!
"Ammi please we'll talk about this some other time!how is everyone?!i really miss you all!come back soon!by the way when i you coming back?!"i realized i ddnt know that...
"Tom. ...next week she says almost unsure!dont worry i got you lots and lots of gifts for you!i really miss you dear!hope you eat well?!do you take you fruits?enough water?avoid sun?...."hmmm now the too much caring side of her....
"Ammi I'm 24 not 6 please i can take care of myself "i say to her...
"Oh ya Allah now you don't need your mother!this is the worst thing that has ever happened to me!oh oh"God!could she get all more dramatic.....
"Okay okay fine!yes ma!i do all that?!happy?!"i say trying to avoid more drama...
"Yes!!!!!very happy....okay kid! I'll just get going!get some rest my dear! Your Papa,Hala and Saif all say hi and they miss you"she says...although i cant see her,from her voice i can make out she's smiling ....
"Awwwwn i miss them more!say hi to them all and I love them tooo much!okay bye ammi i love you very much"i say smiling!i really have a sweet family!i can never ask for any better!
"I love you too dear!take care!assalmu alaykum "she says rounding up!
"Take care too!wa alaykum salam"i finally say as i end the call....
I made my way to the couch and turned on the tv! I was scrolling through channels and what i saw....okay well I wasn't expecting to see it ...it was this adal guy again....and under had something like...
ADAL MULTIBILLIONAIRE!ALSO KNOWN AS NEW YORK PlAYER BOY!REVOLTS AGAINST ARRANGED MARRIAGE BY HIS FAMILY ....

Ohhh this guy has really got to hate this arranged concept! I actually don't mind so far it makes my family happy!
*what if it is you who is being arranged for him to marry *that voice says .....
*what?!no way man!it cant be me!first you say we'll love each other now you are saying arranged !seriously i guess you are also confused!and enough no more what ifs!it can never be* i reply....
I quickly turned off the tv and the lights and went up to my bedroom,laid down and closed my eyes to sleep!
Phew!today has really been a long day.....
