Chapter 16

Afreen's pov

Alhamdulillah!

Today will be my first day as an intern at Angela Simmons inc! I've been so excited at the same time I can't seem to get over this nervous feeling at the pit of my stomach!

Probably i am just over thinking! Meeting new people and working should be the reason! But either way I am really excited I wouldn't have to stay home all day doing nothing!

After taking my bath i settled for a pair of skinny jeans, a short sleeved top, a long cardi,my gladiators and of course my scarf! With only lipstick and mascara i was ready,i then carried my bag and headed downstairs!

Today I'd have to face Adal after our encounter yesterday I'd have to tell him about my job and see if he is comfortable with it! Yeah I know he doesn't care about me but that doesn't mean I'd ignore my duties and responsibilities as a muslim wife right?

"Heyyy stells! "I squealed jumping on her immediately i saw her in the kitchen ...!

"Oh jeez kid! You so gonna be my end! Easy on the old chick" she said trying to stay balanced!

"Lookachu! Calling yourself chick! "I said laughing and she laughs back!

"Good morning "i said kissing her cheeks and she replies with the same gesture.I've really grown attached to this woman.

"Here let me serve you break fast! "She said making me seat on the chair.

"Thank you!" I replied grinning .

After serving me breakfast stella sat beside me and we kept on conversing until I realized I haven't seen Adal! Has he eaten or did he go out without eating? But it's to early to go out so probably he is still upstairs .

"Uhmm stella! Have you seen Adal? I haven't seen him since I woke up and I really want to tell him about my job"i said to her,getting enough of my curiosity .

"Oh yeah! He left early this morning! Something about new company he bought "she said ...

Oh!

"Did he eat?" I asked her

"Yeah i did serve him breakfast but he ddnt eat it all! Probably after two bites"she said sighing!

Atleast he had intention of eating here! We really are getting somewhere I thought!

"Ohhhhhh!!! Why ddnt it click"she said grinning and i gave her the what-you-talking-about-look!

"I mean he ddnt eat it all because you ddnt cook it,and he had the intention of eating because he thought you cooked it" she said still grinning .

"I don't think that's the reason "i said giving her a small smile!

"Pfft! Silly girl, I'm older than you both and i can see everything clearly with my eyes" she said opening her ryes wide as if it will change a thing!

I guess everyone that seems to know me just has this over activeness and excess drama.

"Okay if you say so"i said as my smile grew bigger.

Checking my wrist watch i realize that it 8:35 and i have to be there on or before 9!

"Oh shit! I gotta go stella! Take care! Love you bye! "I said kissing her cheeks and heading for the door not waiting for her to reply but i ddnt miss the chuckle and the silly girl she said.

I ran down to my car with a big smile plastered on my face, headed in and drove off.

Sitting in the car with just me,my thoughts and the qur'an recitation from playing in the car,i was still having this excess and unusual nervous feeling I can't seem to get over.
