''A-a-Adal?''she whispered raising her hand to touch him if he is real .

''Well it's about time''he said.

Yes she could see him, yes she could feel him, but she didn't want to believe and get her hopes up and end up being disappointed, so she did what she thought was best and put her head back on his chest then closed her eyes, until she heard laughter around the room, and his chest rising and falling from laughter, that was when it hit her that it was truly real.

A normal human being would have expected her to wake up and hug him to herself like she doesn't want to ever leave him, but what Afreen did even she wasn't expecting, she quickly stood up and ran out of the room ignoring the teasing and amused protests of the family members.

She kept on running until she finally came to a stop, she sat down and hugged herself crying out her eyes.

Sincerely she also didn't know why she was crying, joy that he is finally up? Anger that he almost left her? Guilt that she felt responsible for his condition? She sincerely didn't know too.

She bent her head down to where she heard a message alert on her phone, then she brought her phone out of her pocket to see who was messaging her.

She immediately opened the message and read it.

I sincerely would have been up following you, trust me i was already by the door , not until i felt a slight pain and this doctors decided to make a fuss about it and nit let me come to you, yes i feel pain but not as much as not having you by my side, baby please come back? Or i'd go back?

Once she was done reading it, she quickly stood up and ran back towards the room.

Urgh! He never uses his brain, what was he thinking?

When she reached the room, she opened the door to all the family members turning to look at her and after exchanging glances at each other they stood up and began exiting the room, stopping to smile at her and her mothers giving her pecks.

Once they were all out of the room, her attention turned back to him, he really looked tired and exhausted and ill but undeniably handsome, she didn't even know to what extent she had missed him until she saw him smile at her then opened his arms for her, that was when she ran towards him immediately crashing herself in his arms sobbing her eyes out.

They sat like that for what felt like forever, and they both honestly didn't care as long as they were in each other's arms.

After she had calmed down a bit, sniffling softly with her head placed between the space between his head and shoulder, his arms were wrapped securely around her.

''Why did you leave me? You promised?you have no idea how my life was in those days, nothing felt real again''she said and he sighed tightening his hold on her.

''I know, I'm sorry, i was also going through the same thing hearing you cry and not being able to do anything, I've missed you so much, when i was shot i didn't feel any pain, i just knew I wasn't ready to leave you, I'm sorry ''he said placing a kiss on her temple.

''You could her everything i was saying ''she asked.

''Everything, especially the part you told me I didn't look good on this hospital bed, that totally hurt my ego, i mean i always look good''he said giggling and although he couldn't see her he knew she smiled.
