He was acting like a total jerk!
He wasn't being fair to her, but He's left with no other choice.
It was time to leave this prison called hospital and as much as he was grateful for that, he dreaded going home because it only meant that it would be be him and her. How was he going to pull it off?
''Mrs Adal, I'm happy to tell you that your husband is really responding to treatment,he is a strong person, but he shouldn't stress himself for at least three weeks or it might all be useless''the doctor said to Afreen after she had packed everything of theirs ready to go while Adal sat at the edge of the bed playing or doing whatever he was doing with his phone.
''Yes doctor, thank you, I'll see to it that he gets maximum rest In sha Allah''she smiled lightly at the doctor and he nodded at her smiling back.
''Okay then, Mr Adal take care of yourself and ensure you don't end up back here''he said and Adal just nodded and the doctor gave and understanding smile.
What's going on here? Am I missing anything?
After checking Adal one last time, the doctor exited the room leaving just the two of them.
This days, Afreen started feeling like it was the early days of their wedding when things weren't really good between them and she didn't enjoy it one bit.
She heard him wince slightly while trying to get up behind her and she quickly rushed to him to help him up, but he just rose his hands to her and murmured an''i can do it''
Ouch.
She bit back the tears threatening to flow from her eyes biting her tongue as she ignored him and helped him to the wheelchair he was meant to use to get down despite his protest.
Once he was seated, afreen held some of their bags and started making her way out when her Jamal entered the room and on seeing him Adal's face lit up.
''I really thought you weren't going to come see me''Adal said and jamal smiled.
''I dare not''he bent down to greet him saying salam to each other.
''Assalamu alaykum Afreen''he smiled at her and she smiled back ''wa alaykum salam''she took him life an elder brother, he was afterall Adal's cousin and kind of like best friend.
''How are you? And putting up with this man's tantrums?''he teased and Adal nudged him.
''Ouch! Who would believe you've been hospitalized for close to two weeks, you're a stone man''he said and Afreen smiled at the two, there was an obvious closeness between them.
''Ha! Get away please, where have you been?''Adal asked and for a second Afreen could see a slight weird change on jamal's face but that went away almost immediately and she believed she was just imagining.
''I've been out man, i needed a break from work, sorry boss''he said and they both laughed.
''Looks like you're heading somewhere?''he asked and Afreen nodded.
''Yeah, we've been discharged, on our way home when you came in''she answered.
''Ohh, well let me help with the bags then''he offered and she smiled placing them in his hands before going back to get the last bag and soon they were all going down.
He still hasn't said a word to her.
When they reached, they stood together and spoke for sometime, Adal had told Jamal to go home with them but he'd insisted he'll come by later on them, he wanted to go home first as he just came back.
