Chapter 45

''No...no...no... It can't be''she whispered to herself.

''ADAL!!!!''

Afreen screamed in shock, she didn't want to have any negative thoughts, it cannot be him, she kept assuring herself as she ran upstairs.

Adal on hearing the gunshot stood in place, he couldn't move, all he could see and feel right now was the pain, getting away from Afreen, but he suddenly realised that they was someone standing in front of him shot on the arm.

Well only one gunshot was heard, and if one gunshot was heard how can two people be shot? And how comes he couldn't feel any pain? How comes he didn't see any blood come from him? Wait what? No blood? He looked down and realised he was okay, he wasn't the one that had been shot, it was just the person in front of him.

''Ya Allah!'mhe quickly ran towards the person who had fallen unconscious in a pool of blood and turned his face to check when he turned his face he was shocked beyond speech.

''Dr coloso?''he whispered in shock, why is he here? And why was he shot?

''Adal, ya Allah Adal, he heard her say from behind him.

''Afreen? Rachel?'mhe turned to see both women come towards him.

''Oh my God! Are you okay? Where is it? Where are you hurt? Let me see it''she was panicking.

''I'm okay Afreen, I wasn't shot''he said holding her face in his hands and she looked up at him with teary eyes.

''If you're okay... Then gun.. Gun shot? Sound? Gun? Rachel? Adal? Who was sh''she stopped when she looked beside Adal and saw the older looking man who was lying unconscious in a pool of blood.

''Ya Allah! Dr coloso, Adal? What happened how? Where? Who?''she said scared and tears were running down her eyes.

''I also don't know myself, i just got here, I received a message from someone to come here and I rushed here immediately and this...''he said.

''But tell me how did you both end up here?''he asked and Rachel answered this time as Afreen was still in shock clinging to his jacket.

''We saw you leaving through the back door and Afreen said she sensed something was wrong from the look on your face, so we followed you''she said and he sighed.

''Afreen why did....''he stopped when he saw how terrified she still was .

''Here Rachel, take herbto the car, I'll bring him with me, if we stay here any longer we'll loose him''he said and Rachel nodded taking Afreen from him and holding her.

Rachel and Afreen started walking and Adal picked dr coloso up from the floor.

They were almost by the staircase all lost in their thoughts about how fast everything had happened, who would have possibly shot the doctor? There was no sign of anyone around.

''Well.. Well.. Well... If it isn't Adal ahmad omar and his wife and oh look! They came along with their most annoying staff? What could be better than this?''the three of them stopped walking as they all turned to see who had spoken.

''Aysha?''adal said surprised but no doubt had venom in his voice.

''What are you doing here?''he asked and she walked towards him placing her hand on his chest and he moved away in disgust, she removed her hand and placed it on her cheat feigning hurt.

''Ouch that hurt baby, you don't want me to touch you?''she said and he placed coloso down, this time Afreen and Rachel had come to stand beside him.

''But baby...''she started but he cut her off ''don't you dare  call me that'' he said.

''Or else what?what will you do? Let's put it as right now you're in My kingdom, you can't enter or leave without my permission ''she said.
