Summary: imagine Chris getting the wrong idea when the reader doesn't like arguments
IT WAS A NIGHT WHERE CHRIS HAD GONE TO SOME BAR WITH THE AVENGERS CAST BOYS AFTER A DAY ON SET
He didn't know the area that well but Robert did, so it was all fine
They had a few drinks, enough for them all to be slightly tipsy and that was when the real conversations started
"Aren't you supposed to be with Luna tonight Chris?" Anthony asked questionably and the question had made Chris' head lift up quickly
"Shit" he groaned putting his head in his hands. He had completely forgotten about that
"What is she gonna he mad or something?" Tom asked confused at the reaction from his friend. He has met Luna many times on set when she was working and she didn't seem the type to get mad often
"No. She never gets mad at me, I just dont want to disappoint her"
Mark: "Wait, she never gets mad?" Evans shook his head with a shrug
"No"
Hemsworth: "So there are never any arguments?"
"No" the boys all made 'ooh' noises that had Chris confused
"What?"Paul: "There's never any arguments, that usually means she's not telling you things. It's very unhealthy for relationships"
"Guys" Evans stops them with a laugh
"This is Luna. The nicest person in the universe"Hiddleston: "Nicest...and shyest person in the universe. Who knows, she may be scared of you"
"She's not scared of me" Chris immediately denied. She was shy at first when she met him but she opened up, and they were on a great relationship basis now
Jeremy: "Then what's with the 'No arguing'"
"We just don't argue"
Robert: "Well are there sometimes almost arguments, that she puts out?" Chris nodded slowly which made all the guys wince

When Chris got home that night his heart broke at the sight. There was a 2 person table from outside that had been put in the living room with a nice sheet on top and there was candles and food on top that was now cold
It was his favourite meal and she had made it specially for him. He looked around for her and found her sleeping on the couch in a dress she obviously forgot to take of before she fell asleep
He moved forward and kneeled beside her, brushing the hair out of her face which gave him a show of the dried tear stains
He frowned and moved his arms under her before lifting her and taking her back to their room

The next day was tense. Luna had put a lot of time and effort to do the date night and although Chris said to her he would be there, he wasn't
But she wasn't angry with him like he thought she would be. She was just quiet
"Babe" Chris said as he walked in the kitchen during lunch. She turned to him, humming for him to continue
"I'm sorry I wasn't there last night" she shook her head"Dont worry, it wasn't that big of a deal. You was out with your friends"
"It is a big deal though. I was supposed to be here"
"I know and I had to set it all up and-" Luna cut herself off as she started to get a bit riled up
"It's okay Chris" his eyebrows furrowed as she deflected an argument. Is what the guys said right? Does she really not want to communicate with him?"You're not mad?" He questioned
"Im upset. but I'm not mad"
"But you should be, be angry. Tell me how annoying it was that I missed it"
"Im not mad" she repeated
"You should be!" He shouted in a way that had her stepping back
"I wasn't here for our date! You have a right to be mad at that!""You want me to be mad?" She questioned confused
"Yes! Because that's what happens in healthy relationships! They fight and make up. We don't do that"
"Okay! I wanted you to be here" she said but it wasn't loud like he expected in an argument. Instead it made him feel bad
"I took hours out of my day to make your favourite food, to polish the table, to call the girls and ask them if I was doing it all correctly. Just for you not to turn up. Is that what you want?""I want you to be more angry than that"
"Why?" She whimpered
"Because- the guys- they said it wasn't healthy for no arguments"
"Your going to believe the guys? you're one of the only ones in a relationship right now" Luna turned away her eyes brimming with tears. Was that what he wanted, an argument?
"Babe" Chris frowned. He hated to make her upset and the look of her tearing up made his heart ache
"I don't want to argue Chris. For my whole life that's what I've been around. I hate it. Whenever my dad would go out at night, he would come back. Starting arguments and arguments with my mom. One time he walked into my room and started to shout and then he went upstairs and tried to jump out of a window on the third floor. I sat at the bottom of their stairs for ages whilst my mom tried to get him away from the window. And then it happened again the next day. And again and again. I don't want to argue. I dont want to be put in a position where we have to go bed angry, or where we say things we don't mean in the heat of the moment. I don't like arguments Chris" his arms wrapped around her and she laid her head on his chest as tears escaped her eyes
"I just wanted you to be more open with me if you didn't like things" he murmured
"I just don't want anything turned into an argument"
"It won't" he promised
"If you tell me when I do things wrong it wont escalate. I just don't want you to feel like you can't speak your mind around me""I'm sorry" she whispered
"No. God no. I'm sorry. I'll never not be here for any dates again. I completely forgot about it. I'm sorry, and I'm sorry for pushing you into an argument" she lifted her head off his chest and put her lips on hers before retracting it and hugging him again
"It's okay, I love you"
"I love you too"
