LESSON 4. PUTTING IT TO USE

KALEB HAD GOTTEN BACK FROM THE TRIP YESTERDAY. HE WANTED TO UNPACK AND GET SETTLED IN BEFORE HE MET UP with delilah and he had. They were going out for something to eat tonight

But at the minute delilah was sitting with, Blair, serena, Nate and Chuck. All of them in chucks hotel before they had to leave

"Come on delilah, we better get going" reluctantly she stood up with her 2 friends

"I'm so exited. We've already got your outfit picked out!" Blair squealed attracting thenattenriin of the 2 boys

"Where are you guys going?"

"Delilah has a date tonight. So we're helping her get ready" everyone except delilah noticed Chuck set his jaw

"This kaleb guy right?" Delilah nodded forcing a small smile on her lips. If she was honest she didn't want to speak to him anymore, she didn't want to speak to anyone but Chuck. And she didn't really want to force something with someone else

"You putting everything to good use?" Chuck questioned. No one in the room understood what he meant expect delilah. She bit her lip contemplating whether to say it

"Yeah. I am"

"We better go. We'll see you guys later"

When delilah was ready with the help of her friends she got picked up with kaleb who drove them both to a resteraunt and they went inside and got situated. It had been almost an hour in, they had ate, gotten drinks but for some reason her mind wasn't in it. And it didn't make it any better when a certain guy walked in

Delilah's mouth parted in shock and thankfully kaleb didn't realise. Delilah thought that it was such a coincidence chuck was there tonight. But then she also knew chuck came here often

"I'm gonna go to the bar and get a drink" delilah said and kaleb nodded. He didn't know delilah well enough to know she didn't drink alcohol

She got up out of her seat and got to the bar immediately taking a seat beside chuck who pretended to be shocked seeing her there

"How's your date going?" Chuck questioned and she asked the guy behind the bar for a coke before answering. She was contemplating telling him the truth

"Good" she lied
"Really good. I really like him" chuck glanced at her, forcing a small smile on his face

"Good. If he breaks your heart I'll kill him. Or sue him, and his children, and their children. Forever" delilah knew that chuck was serious about the threat and she was thankful he cared enough to react like that. Even if she wanted more

Once the date was over delilah made her way back to Blair's house glum. She had ended things with kaleb, thankful they weren't even out of the dating stage. She just couldn't help her feelings for chuck and it hurt. It hurt her to be in a relationship that wasn't with him and she felt she needed to get over her feelings before she got in a relationship with someone

When delilah finally got to Blair's she made her way to her room seeing serena already there, the pair sitting on Blair's bed and the girls turned to her, frowning when they saw the tears in her eyes

"Awe delilah" the girls were immediately up and rushed over to her, bringing her in a hug

"What happened?" Slowly the tears slowed down and they made their way over to the bed

"I broke things off with kaleb" she spoke and Blair and serena shared a look delilah didn't catch

"Why?"

"I didn't want this in the first place" she spoke and the girls grew confused
"I just accepted his date offer because I wanted to find a way to get over Chuck. I love him a-and I dont know what to do about it"

"Delilah he feels the exact same way"

"He does" Blair agreed

"He doesn't. He's never said anything to me, and he's with other girls all the time. He doesn't think of me like that" whilst serena continued trying to convince delilah Blair rummaged through her phone and found a specific video

"Here! Look!" She handed it to delilah and they watched as the video played

Chuck sat next to Nate with his head in his hands and delilah recognised the clothes they were wearing and the setting. This video must've been taken after delilah had left the hotel earlier

"This is fucking shit" he mumbled running his hands across his face

"Unless you're gonna tell her the truth you have to let her go" Nate mumbled

'I can't just fucking let her go on another date with a guy! No matter how much better he is than me! I love her!'

The video cut off there and deilahs eyes were unbelievably wide

"He loves me?" She whispered and they both nodded. She quickly jumped up
"I-I have to go" they both frantically nodded and she bolted out of the room, through the house and made her way in a cab to chucks place

When delilah finally got to the hotel she didn't waste any time before rushing up to chucks suite. She knocked on the door frantically and waited for him to open it

But after 2 minutes she was still standing outside. She knew what this meant. That maybe he was sleeping with another girl and stayed at her place, and it also got her to thinking that maybe Chuck wasn't actually in love with her. Maybe he just didn't like the idea of her dating someone, but that doesn't mean he loves her

Deflated she turned around and made her way back to her house, her heart and head heavy from the thoughts swirling in her mind

When delilah got home, she pushed back the tears and put her key in the lock, opening it and stepping inside, but her eyes widened when she saw Chuck standing there. He was in a suit, with her favourite flowers in his hands by his side

Neither of them said anything for a few moments and when they did they spoke at the same time

"I love you" they couldn't contain the happiness on their faces and Chuck slowly walked forward

"I hope you had a shit date"

"I did" she replied
"We ended things" Chuck stopped in front of her, his hand raising up to her face to caress her cheek
"He wasn't better than you. He could never be, cause you're all I wanted" his eyes softened as he spoke and full of emotion he lifted her up off the ground and she wrapped her legs around his waist and she leant down to kiss him
