GILDEROY LOCKHART STOOD ON THE LONG TABLE that was going to be used for his defence against the dark arts lesson. Of course the man didn't know what he was doing and all the 6th years (that weren't fawning over him) knew that
"Gather round! Gather round!" Lockhart called out and they all made their way to surround the table, watching as the man walked up and down "Can everybody see me?"
"I wish I didn't" Fred smiled as he nudged the shoulder of the short girl beside him and she let out a giggle
"Can you all hear me? Excellent. Professor Dumbledore has gone take me permission to start this little duelling club to train you up in case you ever need to defend yourselves, as I myself have done on countless occasions. For full details, see all my published works" he took off the cloak that was around his neck and through it into some students, the girls there smiling and giggling as they caught it and held it up "Let me introduce my assistant, Professor Snape" Maeve wished that her eyes didn't snap up so quick at the mention of the man who taught her potions lessons
But she couldn't help as her eyes trailed him as he got up and stood up on the table
"He has sportingly agreed to help me with a short demonstration. Now I don't want any of you to worry. You still have your potions master when I'm through with him. Never fear" him and Snape made their way closer to eachother, their wands raised before they bowed and walked away with their backs to each other
And that's when they both turned, wands in the air and ready
"One. Two. Three"
"Expelliarmus!" Snape incanted and a force shot out of his wand over to Lockhart who fell back onto the floor
The entire room let out either laughs or concerned gasps as he got back up
"An excellent idea to show them that, Professor Snape. But if you don't mind me saying, it was pretty obvious what you were about to do and if i had wanted to stop you it would have been only too easy" Snape refrained from rolling his eyes
"Perhaps it would be useful to first teach the students to block unfriendly spells, Professor"
"An excelled suggestion, Professor Snape. Well, let's have a volunteer pair. Kayla" everyone turned to the Slytherin girl who always had a snarl on her face
