TESSA WAS JUST ON HER WAY HOME FROM WORK THAT DAY. SHE WAS GITTERY IN HER SEAT AS SHE WAS EXITED TO GO AND SET UP FOR HER AND connors date night. Connor didn't finish work for another hour and a half which was enough time to get his favourite dinner ready
She already had it planned, lasagne, because it was one of connors favourite and she was going to decorate the living room with candles and all
But as she was on her way home she had a feeling something was wrong
She passed the intersection once the lights gave her the go ahead and she continued on making her way home
But after a few more minutes she could see something strange
A car was swerving as they drove her way. She grew confused and worried but as it got closer to her, she didn't realise it was going into her road until it was too late
The car slammed into the side of tessa and the force had her head whipping back. The car, from the force, went plummeting into another one

"Dr Choi. On this one" maggie told the doctor as they saw an a woman get rushed in on the ambulance. Dr Choi jogged over, his eyes widening in shock
"It's tessa" he said turning back to maggie with wide eyes "Get Dr Rhodes"
"BP is 180/100. Pulse of 56. Respirations are ten and irregular" the worker said to them as they wheeled tessa into a room
"Tessa! Tessa!" Dr Halstead quickly moved in front of dr Rhodes "Let me see her"
"There's nothing you can do. The doctors are in there" dr Rhodes went to walk forward again but dr Halstead held him back
"How bad is it?" He questioned as he looked through the glass and inside the room
"I dont know"

When Tessa finally came to wake up she opened her eyes to see Connor sitting on a chair beside her bed, her hand in his as he looked down at the ground
"Connor?" She whispered horesely and his head immediately snapped up to hers
"Tessa" he mumbled, his eyes lighting up at the sight of her being okay
"What happ-" she cut herself off as her eyes widened and immediately she let out a sob. Connor was up off his seat and he made his way beside her and cradled her head to his chest
"Hey, hey. You're okay. You're okay" he whispered soothingly into her ear. She used his voice as an anchor to remind herself that she was safe now and the moment where she crashed and thought she was gonna die, was over
"I didn't think I was going to make it" she whispered and Connor pressed a kiss to the top of her head
"Well you did. And I knew you would. You're strong baby" she sniffled calming down and Connor looked down at her. She nodded and he leaned forward enough for her to place a small kiss on his lips
"My head hurts" she whispered and he laughed softly before getting up
