18: The Arranged Couple

Drix POV

"Sure ka bang si Khiya lahat ang nagsagot nito?" Lian asked while checking the test papers.

"Sabi sa inyo eh! Matalino talaga lahi nun" Ianne said, proudly.

I didn't know that she can really do it, it's not like that I underestimate her... it's just she's unbelievable. She always know how to surprise people.

"Si Khiya na kunin mong partner!" pag-convince ni Cole.

"I don't think so that she would agree on it"

Our attention went up to Jhas.

"What do you mean? I'm sure papayag naman yun.. this is a great opportunity for her!"

He just gave us a shrugged before he turned his back and started to walk away.

"Amp! Nang-iwan na naman! Hoy Jhas!"

Sumunod na yung dalwa sa kanya, bale kami na lang ni Lian ang naiwan.

"Ask her na. I know she will never take this opportunity slide"

If I just know that she would enter the competition also, I should ask her instead of Khiya.. I should be her partner instead of Jhas. I lost the opportunity again.

"Okay ka lang? Nag-da-dalwang isip ka ba kung aalukin mo si Khiya o hindi? Ano ka ba! Don't doubt anymore and just ask"

It's like I left with no choice but to ask Khiya. Wala naman sigurong mawawala kung s'ya na lang yung aalukin. Besides I think that she would be the perfect match for this.

Khiya POV

"You want me to be your partner?"

"Yes.."

Napataas ako ng kilay sa kanya. He surprisingly asked me to be his partner on a math competition. Now I know why n'ya pinasagutan yung mga test na 'yun to check if I am capable to be his partner or not.

"This can help you— "

"Ayaw ko" I refused.

He looked at me, confused. "Ayaw mo? Kasi?"

Bakit nga ba ayaw ko? Simple. It's tiring and boring, I'm done and tired enough for that kind of competition— I mean is I used and lumaki na ako na sumasali sa puro competition of etc. and I think I need some break naman.

"I just don't want to" I simply answered him.

"Give me a good reason why you re— "

"It's boring that's all"

I don't want to waste my remaining months here in the Philippines for studying and studying. I want to make this punishment not just a punishment but a freedom also. I want to be free and do whatever I want like what my twin brother doing here.

I just realize it when I had a fight with those two bitches.. I realize that it was my first time involving myself into a cat fights. And it was fun though it was not a nice experience still I had a new experience. And because of that I thought na there are many things that I can experience here.. many things that I can do.. there was no Mommy who will dictate and puppet me around. I'm free. Bakit ko nga ba hindi ko 'yun agad na-realize nun'g una. Silly self.

"Tinanggihan mo yung offer ni Drix sa'yo?"

I nod on Cary, "Yes.. " I shrugged off.
