Leah's POV:
This morning, we had all woken up and gone to the meeting room to meet with Sarina. She explained to us where we would be playing for our first few games, and against who. Next month, we would be playing the Netherlands, Spain, and Ireland. I could tell why Sarina kept these a secret from us for so long - we would be playing against some of the teams in Europe. Following the reaction from us, Sarina decided to call camp a bit short in order for us to all go home and spend time with our families for a while, before coming back in two weeks to begin the next camp which luckily were at home for us.
It was now after the meeting, and I had just got back to my room. I pulled out my suitcase and stared at it blanky for a few seconds. I couldn't believe I'd be going back to Milton Keynes, and Alessia was going to Maidstone with her family. It was going to be strange. What if she forgets about me, and what if she doesn't miss me? I grabbed my teddy off my bed and hid it into the bottom of Alessia's suitcase. That teddy had been mine for as long as I could remember, but Alessia is also a part of me now and I couldn't bear to let her forget about me.
Just then, Alessia came through the door and ran towards me and pulled me into a hug. We stayed there for a while, before she pulled away and looked at me with tears in her eyes. I was just worrying that she was going to forget about me, and now she's crying because were leaving each other?
"I'll see you soon Alessia. I promise baby" i smiled at her and kissed her on the lips softly.
"You've become my home, Leah. You really have. I don't want to go back home" she sniffed.
"Why don't you want to go back home? Is everything okay Less?" I asked. Weeks ago, Alessia had told me that she wanted her mum and missed her, and now she doesn't even want to go home.
"Yeah, everything is fine" she said quickly, and went to grab her suitcase. She was very quick to shut down my concern, but stupidly I chose not to think any more of it. She didn't notice the little teddy in the bottom of her suitcase yet, which means she'd have a surprise when she got back home which I hope would give her a little bit of joy.
I had just thrown the last things into my suitcase, and I was just about to close it before Alessia walked up to me and said "Lee".
"Yes beautiful?"
"Take this" she handed me her comfort blanket. Alessia slept with this blanket up to her nose every night without fail, and it was beyond strange for her to even consider giving it to me.
"I need you to keep him safe, okay?" she said.
"Right Less, what on earth is going on? First you don't want to go home, and now you're refusing to take your blanket because you think he'd be safer with me. Please darling, tell me what's going on and promise me you'll be safe." I pleaded.
She walked up to me, placed her hands on both my cheeks, and looked at me in the eyes. "Everything will be okay Leah, there's just some stuff going on back home. I'll be okay, but i can't promise you anything. I can't tell you yet, but when i can i will tell you." She placed a soft kiss on my lips and held my hand.
"I'm not letting you go home if you won't be safe. I'm telling my mum you're coming with us" I said, grabbing my phone.
"No Lee, I'm going home. I'll be safe, don't. Please"
"Less, you can't promise me that you'll be safe. I'm not letting you go." I said, starting to get a bit angry. I care about her so much, and I can't let her go somewhere she won't be safe.
"Get off my back Lee! I told you I'll be fine; you don't know me enough to make choices for me" she huffed.
Suddenly her phone pinged. She sighed and said "I'll be back in a minute Lee, Ella wants me" she said with both her suitcases in her hands. Weird.
I sat on the bed for about ten minutes, tears forming in my eyes before I decided to go next door too. I knocked, where I was met by a confused Ella. "Where's Less?"
"She told me she was coming to see you?" i said. Shit. She's already gone, and she didn't tell me because i got angry at her. A million thoughts were rushing through my head that i didn't notice the totally miserable look that was plastered across my face.
Ella just looked at me before saying "Lee, what's going on?"
I explained to her about the bicker that we'd had and told her what i knew before Ella sighed and looked at me. "I know exactly what it's about Lee, but I promised Alessia I wouldn't say a word. Let's just say a choice Less has made, her parents are disgusted by" she said, before giving me her key. "My mums here, I'll see you in two weeks Lee. Lock up for me."
