"Fuck, Andie stay with me!" I yelled as I went back to the panel and hit every button that I saw hoping that I could make it to her in time.

I ran down the hall and headed towards the lab corridor, hoping that I wouldn't have to waste any of my ammo.

Inside the lab I noticed the blood smeared all over the once purely white walls. There was a foul stench that filled the air.

I resisted the urge to vomit as I continued my search for Andie.

Mary-Beth was standing at the end of the hall.

"Mary-Beth, honey are you okay?" I asked as I slowly approached her.

She gurgled as she turned to face me...that wasn't my wife...anymore.

I placed my gun to her head and pulled the trigger with tears in my eyes.

Those bastards are going to pay for all of this and I am going to make sure of it!

"Andie!" I yelled as I turned the corner towards the research lab.

I listened hoping that she would call out to me, but I couldn't hear anything.

Then I felt the rumble...imagine Mister X from Resident Evil 2....Something big was coming and I wasn't prepared for whatever it was.

So I ran...like a fucking coward, but do you blame me?

Of course not Sarge.- Timmy :]

I ran all the way back to the security room and closed the heavy metal door behind me, hoping that it would hold off whatever the hell it was.

I looked back at the security cams hoping that Andie was still there.

"Andie, are you there?" I asked as I caught my breath.

"Hey...Sarge." Andie answered weakly.

"Andie where are you in the lab? Is your door opened now?"

"I...I don't know." Andie answered with a slow painful breath. "Save yourself Sarge....I'll be fine."

"I'm not leaving you, I made a promise to get you out and that is what I am going to do." I said before standing up again.

"Dorian?" Andie asked surprised.

"Andie is there someone in there with you?" I asked as I searched the camera.

"What are you doing?!" Andie yelled before I saw her fly across the screen.

"Andie...Andie what's going on?" I asked before I saw a large dark looming figure come into frame.

The figure stood over the fallen woman, her body was limp and if I was able to see her face I would probably see the fear.

I needed to find her fast, before the creature attacked her again.

I ran back into the hallway and headed back to the lab. Whatever was chasing me earlier had left and the only thing left in the hallway was the mangled corpse of what used to be the love of my life.

"You can cry later Sarge." I told myself as I passed the body.

"Ah...no!" Andie screamed from further down the corridor.

"Andie, hold on!" I yelled back hoping that it wasn't too late.

Running further down the corridor I saw more of the "undead". I didn't have the time nor the ammo to waste, I needed to find Andie, she was my top priority now.

I figured that the creature was close to her since she seemed to know a human name of it...Dorian.

Dorian?! Dorian Jordans?!

I must have let him out when I was frantically pushing the buttons on the panel.

I was the reason that she was in danger.
