I sat in the living room alone for what felt like hours, before finally being greeted with the company of Johnny.

"Hey Sarge, the littles are sleeping peacefully and my sister is not trying to kill Amber."

"All that's left now is for us to bunker down for the night and wait for daylight." I said with a sigh. "I'll take the first watch, you go ahead and get some rest."

"Are you sure Sarge?"

"Yeah, I wouldn't want you to fall asleep during watch because you didn't get enough rest." I answered with a small smirk. "Besides I need to keep my mind busy and killing crawlers is good target practice."

"Yeah I guess, but maybe we shouldn't kill them."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, what if we can help them with the cure."

"Johnny, their dead...there's no helping them now."

-Oh Sarge, you should have listened to me.- Johnny

"I...never mind do whatever you think is best, I guess." John said before getting up and headed towards a small kitchen just passed the front door.

They were dead, everyone knew that...they had to be dead.

They were zombies after all.

"Ahh!" I screamed as I felt the pain ripping through my body again. "Jesse...where the fuck are you?!"

"Andie, I'm here...I'm here." Jesse said as he ran to my side. "Everything will be okay."

"Mm...Ah...It hurts." I cried.

"I know darling, just try to relax."

"Make it stop!" I screamed. "I can't do this anymore...make it stop."

"I don't want to hurt you anymore." He said, his hands were on the bed while I was clinging to him.

"Please...Jesse...make it stop." I pleaded.

"I...I don't know what you want from me Andie."

"You know how to make it stop, so make it stop." I said with a small whimper.

"I'm not doing that again Andie." Jess said coldly.

"You don't have to do that, just -"

"No, none of it...you don't feel what I feel anymore, you don't love me so why should I help you?"

"You don't understand, you wouldn't understand."

"Try me...maybe I will." Jesse said before he moved away from me. "Talk to me Andie, if you want the pain to stop then tell me...make me understand."

"Fine...argh...you killed love for me...the day you broke my heart is the day my life went to...shit again...do you have any idea what I felt knowing that our daughter looked like you...looking into her eyes and seeing the man that ruined you, because he thought you were slipping away...I will never love you the same again, but that doesn't mean that I don't still feel something for you." I said through the sharp pain.

Jesse's eyes were filled with regret, but he still didn't want to move.

"Lay down Andie...I'll take care of it." He said softly before slowly moving his hand closer to me. "I will make it all better."

I nodded slowly before laying down on the white comforter and watched as Jesse got off the bed.

"I shouldn't have forced you to tell me, I should have just asked you after." He said as he stepped me between my legs.
