"Are you mad at me?" I asked softly as I looked out the window.
"No, I'm not mad at you." Jesse said with a smirk. "I just don't know if I can leave you alone tonight."
"I'm not going to do anything." I reassured. "But if it will make you feel better I can bunk with Ashley tonight, so I won't be alone."
"It would, but I know that you won't sleep because you will be to worried about her." He said sweetly.
"I don't understand what you want from me Jesse, I'm really trying to make a compromise here."
"Do you trust me Andie?" He asked not looking away from the road.
"Of course I trust you, I wouldn't still be here if I didn't trust you." I answered as I turned around to look at him.
"Then why can't you talk to me?"
"What do you mean? I'm talking to you right now." I questioned with a small smile.
""I mean really talk to me Andie, let me inside that head of yours." He seriously.
"You don't want to be inside my head." I let out a small laugh at the thought. "But thinks for the laugh."
"I'm serious Andie, I want to understand you again." He said taking a quick glance over to me.
I could barely understand myself, what made him think that he could possibly understand me?
"Lets just find somewhere to rest." I said trying to change the subject.
"So you would rather close up then talk to me." Jesse observed with a smile.
"Yes, I just want some sleep." I answered as I stretched out my shoulders.
"I'll hopefully find somewhere soon." He said with a small smile.
"We are different people then we were when we were younger." I said with a small sigh.
"I'm well aware of that...that's why we need to communicate, so can get to know who we are now." He said as he grabbed my hand again.
"Why is that so important to you?" I asked with a small smile at how well our hands seemed to fit together.
"You already know the answer to that." He said before giving my hand a kiss.
"Whatever." I said with a smirk. "You love what I used to be."
"How would you know, I don't care what they did to you; you aren't any different Andie."
He might not care, but I did.
That's what made me different...well that among other things.
I wasn't going to be the same...and of course it was all linked to fucking Lavender.
Why the fuck was he out of prison?
How the hell did the government allow a released murderer run the pharmaceutical company that was making their virus?
I needed to figure out all of this soon.
But how was I going to get ahold of a Romero?
I couldn't get one while Jesse was with me, he couldn't know what I was doing.
I didn't want to put them in danger, so it would have to be when we get to Charlotte's Ville.
Thankfully we were getting closer, but unfortunately it still feels months away.
"Can I borrow your dirt bike when we get to the bunkers?" I asked with a sweet smile.
"Why are you planning on leaving after we get there?" He asked with a curious smirk.
