"What is going on, Sarge?" Johnny asked as he walked out of the bathroom.

"The Director is after us." I answered as I handed him the note.

"Whose Allison?" He asked as he looked over the paper.

"Andie." I answered softly. "Don't call her that though."

"Why?"

"Long story, but that is the old her." I answered slightly annoyed. "We have bigger things to worry about now."

"How did he even know that we would stop here?"

"I don't know yet, but I'm sure we'll find out soon enough."

"Should we be worried?"

"I'll handle it if it comes to that, I'm not going to let anything bad happen to any of you." I said trying to calm his worries.

"What are you going to do Sarge?" He was still worried.

"I don't know John boy, but just know that if I don't make it make sure that my daughter and Timmy are taken care of."

"I will Sarge, but nothing is going to happen to you." Johnny said, but he wasn't too confident about it.

"You can't know that Johnny." I said before I headed towards the stairs. "Come on let's go find the girls."

"Are we going to tell them about the note?" He asked as we ascended the stairs.

"No, I don't want to worry them yet." I answered softly.

"How much longer?" I asked as I looked at the little girl in the backseat.

"Ten more minutes." Ashley answered softly.

Where the hell was he?

I should have went in with him, What if he found a horde of Romeros in there?

"Come on baby girl, we're going to go find him." I said as I got out of the truck with my bag. "Hand me your blanket and bag."

"Why do you need that?" She asked as she handed over her bag.

"Because it would be easier to carry." I answered sweetly.

She looked down at the blanket in her hand and then back at me.

"You can keep your teddy bear for comfort, but the blanket is too long for you to carry safely." I explained softly.

"Okay." She said before reluctantly giving it to me.

I quickly folded it up and stuffed it into the nearly over full bag, before placing it on her back.

"Now lets go find your daddy." I said as I grabbed her hand firmly and lead her towards the house.

Upstairs was dark, only lit by the street lights that peaked in through the window.

"Melissa! Amber!" Johnny and I yelled as we walked down the first floor hallway.

"Where the fuck are they?" I asked as we checked the doors to the rooms.

"Maybe they are on another floor." Johnny suggested with a small shrug.

"Possibly, but lets finish looking here before going to check another floor."

I didn't want to risk missing them if they were here.

When we walked into the house, I felt as if I was transported back to the 1960's.

The foyer was dark brown from the wooden slats that covered the walls.

To the left of the door was a large wooden coat rack covered in cobwebs.
