"You haven't told her about anything that is going on with you...have you?" Jesse asked as he took a quick glance over to me.

"No, I don't want to scare her anymore than she already is and I damn sure don't want her to worry about me." I answered as I looked into the backseat and watched our daughter play with her toys...it was like she was in her own little perfect world and I didn't want to ruin that for her.

"Andie, she deserves to know...what if something happens and I'm not able to save you?"

"Then you can explain it to her." I answered with a sweet smile.

"I would like to remain the good guy thank you very much." He retorted with a small laugh.

"You can't always be the good guy Jess, especially when it comes to something like this."

"I guess we'll just have to wait and see who she asks about it next." He said with a sinister grin.

"If you don't want me to move away from you...you need to stop that." I warned softly.

"Fine, but honestly Andie you need to tell her." He said sadly. "Before it is too late."

"I'll do it when I know that we are safe." I said as I played with the collar of his shirt. "Why did you have to put a shirt on?"

"Because I wanted you to be able to focus on something other than me." He answered as I kissed his neck softly. "What are you doing?"

"Nothing." I answered before moving away from him.

"I didn't want you to move away."

"I had to." I said with a reluctant flirty smile.

"Why did you have to, did I do something wrong?" He asked sad and worried.

"No...I'm starting to lose control over it again." I answered as I looked out the window, I couldn't look at him right now...I needed to regain some sense of control.

"Control of wha-oh..OH."

"You caught on faster than I thought you would." I said with a uncomfortable, almost pained laugh. "Now you need to hurry up and find somewhere we can stay."

It had been more than an hour since we passed Lavender's house and I was beginning to feel restless.

"Do you want me to help you while I look or - "

"Just find a house and stop so we can check it out and go to sleep." I interrupted as my muscles spasmed.

"Andie, there isn't anywhere we can stop here." Jesse said as he leaned closer to the windshield.

"What do you mean?" I asked as I looked over to him.

"Look around here....Sarge was right about those farms." He explained as we looked around at the acres of nothing, but Romeros and poorly mended fences.

"Yeah, and sadly we don't have enough ammo to fight them all off." I said slightly more alert now.

Steven was obviously in too much pain to walk and I knew that from experience that Amber wouldn't even try, so that just left Melissa, Johnny, and I to search the house.

"Are you really going to leave the littles with them?" Johnny asked as he placed his rifle on his back.

"And what do you suggest we do with them exactly?" Melissa asked as she placed seven boxes of ammo into her bag along with a couple of extra handguns...just in case.

"Sarge...its Andie...come in." I said nervously as I assessed if we were going to be able to make it through without worrying about the Romeros busting out of their terribly constructed confines.
