"Sarge, we have been walkeen for-ever." Amber complained.

"We aren't even that far from the truck and you already want to stop? Not going to happen...keep moving." I ordered sternly.

"Come on Sarge, you have to prove to us that you're not scared of him." Johnny said, he was taunting me at this point.

"I'm not trying to prove anything John Boy, I just want to make sure that we all make it to our destination without having to risk our lives even more than we have to." I defended offended that he would even suggest that again. "We know that he can release the crawlers whenever he pleases and I want to make sure that we keep our guard up and can protect each other."

"Really? Because I don't see how this will help us get to Andie."

"I'm more worried about getting to her without The Director finding her through us."

"Maybe he doesn't want to hurt her like we think he does." Melissa suggested weakly.

"I highly doubt that he doesn't want to hurt her, if he murdered her parents its highly likely that she would be his number one target."

"That would be a good observation William...if it were true." A deep voice spoke from behind us. "I would never hurt Ally...that's why I chose her after your wife decided to go into labor."

"Why did you even try to use Mary-Beth?" I asked as I tried to hold myself back.

"We needed a pregnant woman for the cure and she was pregnant, however she wasn't strong enough." The man said with a smirk. "She nearly croaked after the first injection, we had no idea she had a heart condition until she died...we tried to save her, but all our efforts failed...we had no choice but to turn her."

I held up the rifle and pointed it at the man's head...I was going to take of this problem right now.

"Where did you get that?!" The man asked angrily. "Where did you get Chris's rifle."

"Who?" Johnny asked confused. "I thought that rifle belonged to Andie."

"Did I say you could talk dumbass." The Director's voice shook as he stepped closer to us.

"Leave him alone, your problem is with me...not them." I said sternly.

My finger was on the trigger...all I needed to do was pull it and all of this would be over.

"Who gave that to you? Its not yours!" He yelled.

"Andie...you know her very well, after all she's the one you want...she's Allison." I answered with a small smirk.

"What have you done with her?! I need to find her!" He boomed with venom is his voice.

Whatever he wanted with her was nothing good and I couldn't let him find her before we did.

"I didn't do anything, but release her from the lab...she went off on her own and I don't know where she is or where she was heading." I lied confidently.

The man looked at me and smirked. "Did you really think that I was going to believe that and just walk away...you must be dumber than I thought you were, William."

"I'm not the one with a gun pointed at their head right now." I wasn't going to let this asshole get to me. "Leave or I'll end you right here."

"Shame...I thought we could work together on this." The man said with a laugh before backing down. "See you around Sarge...and don't worry I'll be heading back to the lab...I'll be waiting for you and Ally."

"What the hell is that supposed to mean? I thought he wanted to find Andie." Melissa questioned as the man started to walk away.

"Don't worry about me finding Allison...I'll get to her soon enough." The man warn before getting into a black SUV, that had been pulled up into the pasture.
