I woke up still wrapped in the strong embrace of the man I never thought I would see again. It felt strange sleeping next to someone that wasn't Dorian, but for some odd reason it felt right.

"Mmm...morning Darling..." Jesse greeted with a hum. "How did you sleep last night?"

"Great...better than I have in awhile." I answered as I ran my hand up and down his arm. "How about you?"

"Better than I have in a month." Jesse answered before kissing my neck.

I let out a small laugh before rolling over so I could look at him.

"We really need to talk about what this mean for us Andie." Jesse said with a smile. "You already know how I feel about you, I just need to know how you feel about me."

"Maybe we should talk about this later." I said softly.

The truth was I did have feelings for Jesse, but one thing was standing in my way of me acting on those feelings...I wasn't sure if we could have a future together.

"What's wrong Andie?" Jesse asked breaking me from my bleak thoughts.

"Nothing...I was just thinking." I answered before looking him in the eyes.

They were different from last night instead of that animalistic desire there was love and worry...something that I had only seen once in him.

"Andie you know that you can't lie to me...I will always get you to tell me eventually." Jesse said with a sweet smile.

"Let's not talk about that right now... we need to focus on figuring out what happened and how we can stop it, and then we can talk about the future." I said before turning and looking up at the ceiling.

"You're worried about that aren't you?" Jesse asked as he moved my hair away from my face.

"There might not be any future for us if what you said last night is true." I said as I felt a warm tear roll down my cheek.

Jesse let out a sigh before he got out of the bed and looked for his pants.

"There's a way and I am going to find it." Jesse said as he put on his pants and then grabbed the folder.

"Jesse...I...I..." I stammered, I can't say it, now's not the right time.

"It's okay Darling, you don't have to say it..." Jesse said before leaning over the bed and kissing my lips softly. "I can say it enough for the both of us."

"I chose the wrong guy." I said with a sweet smile.

"This is our second chance...let's not waste it on talking about Dorian." Jesse said before kissing her again. "Even if you have his name tattooed on you pubic bone."

"He did that..." I said with a small uncomfortable laugh.

"Why would he do that?"

"To cover my scar from Lavender...remember him?"

"The man that killed your parents."

"Yeah...Dorian hated the fact that I 'allowed' another man to mark me...so he covered it up." I answered as I ran my fingers over the thick black letters etched on to my skin. "It was either that or piss him off."

"Did he ever hurt you before he was infected?" Jesse asked as he clenched his fist.

"He hit me a couple of times, but he regretted it and apologized until she came into his life." I answered disgusted at the thought of Timmy's worthless mother. "She got whatever she wanted while I got ignored and pushed around...just because Dorian couldn't keep his dick out of every pussy that came along, except for mine...the pushover who couldn't stand up for herself unless there was something metal between us."
