CHAPTER SIXTY-ONE: ANDIE

Inside the house I immediately noticed three things...1. the lights sucked a monkey's ass...2. there was an odd smell like mildew mixed with dust and mold...and 3. Romeo was laying on an old tattered couch that looked like someone had tried to burn it.

"I think we would have been better off in a barn or shack." I complained as I flipped the lights on and off a couple of times.

"I think the lights are on Mommy." Ashley said as her father put her down, so she could go to Romeo.

"Come on babe, you know this place is better than an old drafty barn or crumbling shack, so what if the lights suck and it smells like a cum box...at least its only for a night." Jesse said before kissing my cheek. "Now let's eat."

"You three go ahead...I'll be upstairs." I said with a sad smile.

"Are you sure? You haven't eaten in days Andie." He said, he was probably worried that something was wrong with me.

"I'll eat some jerky or something tomorrow...I'm just not hungry right now." I said before I headed for the old beat up staircase that appeared to be safe enough, but I didn't fully trust them.

Once up the stairs I came across a long winding hallway and the tattered remains of what used to be the carpet.

Thankfully Jesse had left most of the doors open, so I knew which rooms were bedrooms and which were just common rooms.

This house was big enough to fit a family of eight, but only two of the rooms were actual bedrooms and the rest were an office, a art studio, an observation deck, a photograph studio, and two bathrooms.

Whoever lived here before must have either been renting the extra rooms out or they had a lot of hobbies, but that also makes you wonder about what happened to them.

They couldn't have been turned into Romero, considering the burnt couch and overall state of the house itself...no something else must have happened here and there was hard telling what that might have been.

I just hoped that there wasn't anymore bodies hiding in the closets.

Once I made it to one of the bedroom at the very end of the hall I went in and immediately went to the bed and laid down.

The bedroom didn't smell any better than the downstairs did, but I didn't care...I just needed to be alone for awhile to clear my head and try to relax.

After a few hours Jesse decided to join me and found silently laying on the bed with my arms crossed over my chest.

I wasn't sleeping...I was just laying there on my side and staring dead eyed at the dingy grey wall.

But I don't think he realized that, because I heard him undress and when he got into the bed...he didn't dare touch me, I guess he was afraid of waking me.

"I'm not asleep Jess." I finally said with an amused smile to myself.

"Are you okay Darling?" He asked as he wrapped his arm around my waist.

"I will be...when you finally make the pain stop." I said as I pushed my ass further into him.

"Maybe we should wait until we get to the bunkers." He said as he pulled me away from me.

"I thought you wanted to know if they were connected?" I questioned before rolling over to look at him. "That way we know that he was actually telling the truth."

"Are you sure? I thought you were still mad at me." He asked as he held me closer to his body.

"I am, but that doesn't change the fact that I want to figure this out now." I answered before kissing him deeply. "Mmm...please Jesse."
