"Ashley come on, we have to go." I said as I stood outside her room. "Ash I'm sorry, please come out."

"What did you do?" Jesse asked as he leaned against the wall beside the door.

"She asked if we were going to make her a sibling and I told her that I couldn't do that, and now she's locked herself in her room.' I explained as I leaned against the door.

"Would it really be that bad?" He asked as he came closer to me. "You know you love it when we have sex, so why not make it mean something."

"No Jesse, I'm not risking the life of my child just to stop pain that I can deal with." I argued back.

"What if they didn't need to use the baby?" He asked softly.

"You aren't going to convince me to do something that I don't want to do." I said with a small laugh.

"I'm not trying to convince me to do something, I was just asking a reasonable question."

"I never thought about having more children and I don't even know if I want anymore...I knew that I didn't want any with Dorian, but with you its different and I don't like it." I answered as I looked him in the eyes. "You are too good for me Jesse, always have been."

"No I'm not Andie, I'm not honestly...I've done some horrible things after we broke up that I'm not proud of." He grabbed my hands in his. "I was a drunk and drug addict Andie, I just couldn't live with how I ended things and turned to the first two addictions I could think of." He said softly. "I followed you to Colver because I wanted to see what my life would be like with you, but all I saw was how miserable my own life was."

"You really do love me don't you?" I asked with a sweet smile.

"Yes, that's what I have been telling you." He answered seriously. "You make my life better."

"I don't know about that, but if you can get our daughter out of her room and downstairs then I will consider opening my heart and giving you another chance." I said before pushing him away gently.

"What if I want something else on top of that?" He asked as he grabbed my arm, so I couldn't leave.

"And what would that be?" I asked with a annoyed sigh.

"Have another baby with me."

"Seriously? Didn't we just get down talking about that?"

"I know, but I figured that if we were together than you would also reconsider that too and I'm just trying to help you."

"I'll tell you what if you get her out of that room I will make you a 'real' dad." I said before I gave him a quick peck on the cheek and headed down the stairs. "Don't make me regret it."

I really should have thought about it a little more before I agreed to that deal, but I just really wanted to get back on the road.

Plus it wouldn't really mean anything, because I said that I would consider it; so it wasn't like I actually had to do it.

But part of me wanted too so bad, but I was listening to the other part that didn't want to be hurt again...I didn't want him to leave me again after he got me pregnant.

They always say you should listen to your heart, but they never tell you what to do when that heart is badly mangled.

"Looks like you have a couple of things to think about." Jesse said as he carried Ashley down the stairs.

"How did you manage that?" I asked with a small laugh.

"I'm daddy and I promised that we would do something special for her when all of this is over." He answered triumphantly.
