I looked back at Ashley sleeping comfortably in the backseat of Jesse's truck.
"So tell me about yourself." I said with a smile.
"Well I was born and raised in Houston, but moved out to Colver for a girl...only to find out she was getting married to a prick." Jesse answered before taking a quick glance over to me.
"Miller?" I asked a little surprised that I even remembered him.
"Finally you recognized me." Jesse said with a small laugh.
"I haven't seen you since...you broke up with me Sophomore year." I said with a small frown.
"Because you got drunk and made out with Dorian..."
"I made a mistake..." I corrected with a small smirk. "You were there when I was going through a lot with my brother...and I ruined it..."
"Actually Dorian ruined it...you were under the influence." Jesse said before looking over to me again. "You haven't change much since high school..."
"Actually I have...I'm single again..." I said before looking out the window trying to ignore my urge to look at him.
"Is there something wrong Andie?" Jesse asked softly.
"Why are you still calling me that? Ashley and Dorian call me Ally still, but you are still calling me Andie."
"Because I like it better." Jesse answered before reaching over over and grabbing my hand.
My heart raced as he pulled it up to his mouth and kissed it softly.
"I'm so happy that I found you again Andie...I...I lov..."
"Don't...don't say that." I said choking on my conflicting emotions. "This isn't the right time for that."
"Right...sorry..." Jesse said clearing his throat.
"Maybe we should stop for the night...that way we can eat and rest." I suggested again hoping that he would agree this time.
"There's a motel up ahead, we can rest there." Jesse said with his eyes glued to the road.
"Why didn't I recognize you before?" I asked as I watched the world outside.
"Because I have changed a lot since high school...like my hairs is longer and I have some a stubble on my chin." Jesse answered with a small laugh. "I've also been working out, but you couldn't tell unless I was shirtless."
"Funny...remind me again why I went out with you?" I asked with a small laugh.
"Because I made you laugh and took you virginity." He answered before reaching his hand over and touching my thigh.
"Jesse...don't..." I said moving his hand away. "I just had to kill my fiancé."
I didn't want to tell him what happened, because I was still upset about it.
"Did you love him?" Jesse asked as if sensing that something was wrong.
"He tried to kill me and insulted my family...but he wasn't himself and I know that, but it still didn't stop me from killing him...I didn't love him anymore."
"I'm sure you had a good reason." Jesse said with a shrug.
"Why did you break up with me? And don't give me that drunk story again."
"Because I knew that you didn't want to be with me anymore..." Jesse answered with a sigh. "Even though I still had feelings for you, I wasn't going to force you to stay with me."
I didn't know what to say...what was there to say?
"Jesse...I'm sorry that I was such a horrible girlfriend, you didn't deserve that." I said softly.
