The big trucks engine roared as we tore down the road. It was dusk out now and would only become darker as we neared the compound. Rick dropped small groups off at a time as we neared and told everyone to meet back at one spot. Everyone knew what they had to do and agreed right away. Sasha and Rosita paired up with sniper rifles to take out guards that were too high up on the satellite.

We had prepared all day for this fight. Eddie had made a map of the communications compound and explained where a possible armoury could be. Rick aimed to hit that straight away! The goal was to take out as many Saviors in their sleep as we could. They needed to do so and make sure no one triggered the alarm. Rick, Daryl, Abraham, Jesus, Glenn, and Michonne grouped together to infiltrate the base while Carol and I silently took out guards closer to where the front gate was. I hated being separated from Daryl but knew that this was our best chance at winning. Carol would keep me calm and centred while we made sure they made it in and out safely.

The base had two mesh metal fences with walkers in between them that acted as a moat. Carol and I quietly snuck through the trees until we were on the edge of the forest. From where we were we could visibly see five guards. Three of them we'd be able to take out while Rosita and Sasha sniped the higher up ones. Now we waited.

Vehicle headlights shone brightly as they approached the gate. Two people opened the gate for the car as it made it's way to the satellite. The car engine shut off as Eddie climbed out and was greeted by a man he called Gabe and another guard. We could faintly hear their conversation.

"Stop right there! Announce yourself, asshоlе!" Gabe said loudly.

"It's Eddie from Hilltop! It's done!" Eddie held up a bag that had a fake Gregory's head inside. Along the way here Rick and Jesus sliced off a walkers head and made it appear like Gregory's. I prayed that it would pass inspection.

"Is that it?" The guard asked.

"Yeah!" Eddie nodded.

"Bring it here, shit brain!" Gabe shook his head. "I don't want the bag, needle dick."

Eddie hesitantly removed the bag from the head and held it out to the men to inspect.

"Will you look at this shit?" Gabe and the guard eyed Eddie and the severed head suspiciously.

"He broke my hand. I broke his nose. That's why he looks that way." Eddie lied. We had wrapped his left hand with a bandage in hopes they'd believe his story.

"Wah." The men laughed. "Little bitch deserved it!" Gabe grabbed the head and tossed it to the ground.

"Okay, looks like you learned. I'll get your guy, you'll go home, and you bring us more stuff next week, hmm?" Gabe raised an eyebrow.

"Yes sir. Thank you." Eddie nodded as Gabe walked inside the front door. It was time.

Carol and I arched back arrows as we aimed at two guards. We counted down from three and released our arrows into the guards that were near us. Their bodies fell to the ground. Carol and I quickly arched again as Sasha and Rosita shot down the higher up guards. Four down, three to go. Carol and I took down the two guards as Rick and the others took out the last one near Eddie. My heart pounded in my chest as I watched them all sneak through the door.

"They're gonna be alright." Carol rubbed my shoulder.

"They better be." I sighed. We sat quietly and anxiously waited for any sign of life. It felt like hours had passed but it had only been five minutes. An alarm started sounding which made every hair on my body raise. I stood to my feet as the alarm continued.

"You can't go in there!" Carol firmly held onto my arm.

"What if they need help?"

"We have to stick to the plan!"
