Life is really full of surprises.

And so as Eliza.

It took me a while before I realized that I was kissing her back. Mali to.

I pulled away from her. She looked at me blankly. Walang emotion yung mukha niya, lalo namang walang affection.

Kissing her back was a mistake. Kasi naman, for a split second hindi siya ang nakita ko, kundi si Kim.

"Wh- why did you ask me to come over?" I asked hesitantly.

Medyo awkward kaya. She just kissed me and I kissed back. That was our first kiss, well, technically not for me. Kim was my first kiss.

She plastered a smile on her face. She looks like she just won a lottery. Ganun ba talaga ang effect ng charms ko? But before she looked at me, she was looking the other way.

I just heard a car driving away. I turned my back and saw a familiar car driving away the area. Saan galing yun?

I shifted back my attention to her. "So why did you ask me to come here?"

"Are you avoiding me?" she asked, but it seems like hindi naman yun ang gusto niyang itanong. Parang she asked that for the sake of asking.

I composed back myself. "You know I've been busy with school and practices."

Okay, that sounded so cold. I could've atleast said it in a better way. After all, she gave me a kiss.

"I mean.. naging busy lang." I said. "You know, finals."

Nawala na yung ngiti niya kanina. "I see."

"Don't tell me yan lang ang rason mo kaya mo ako pinapunta dito?" I asked, slightly irritated.

"Do you have something to tell me?" she asked as she crossed her arms.

Kumunot ang noo ko. What the hell? Ako na nga ang minadali mong pumnta dito tapos ako ang tatanungin mo kung may gusto akong sabihin? Ano to lokohan?

"What?" I asked instead.

"Look Jeron.." I cut her off.

"Jeron." I repeated with a hint of disappointment.

She heaved out a sigh. "Babe... I—I just wanted to see you. If I didn't tell you na may sakit ako, you wouldn't even bother to be here."

Right. She just called me for nothing. Muntikan na nga akong ma-aksidente sa daan sa kamamadaling mag drive papunta dito sa bahay niya. She told me no one else was there to help her, she told me she was sick. Pero pagdating ko naman, sakto lang din na dumating siya. Pinagtri-tripan yata ako nito.
