"What are we doing here?" Kim asked as she shifted her gaze to Gab.
Gab placed his hands inside his pocket. "Nothing... I just wanted to bring you here."
Kim's brows furrowed. "Is this another one of your pakulo, Gabby?"
Gab chuckled. But it wasn't the normal chuckle he would let out on this kind of scenario. It seems weak, and sad.
He shrugged. "Maybe."
Kim looked at him intently. She knew something's not right. Gab's been acting weird lately and he seems so odd today. Something's bothering him, Kim thought. But she couldn't figure out what it is.
"Is there anything wrong, Gab?" she managed to ask.
Gab flashed a faint smile. "Nothing..."
He offered his hand. "Tara?"
Kim looked at him intently before taking his hand. He guided her to the center of the ballroom where a candlelit dinner was prepared. The entire room was dark, except for the middle part where the table was. As soon as they made their way to the table, the music started to play.
Kim could sense that Gab is up with something that will definitely surprise her. But somehow she knew that it's not going to be something she would like.
"Gab..." she muttered as she setteled herself on her seat. "Bakit tayo nandito? Bakit dito pa?"
She was actually referring to the place where they're in. This was actually the same hotel where her prom was held. This is actually the exact function hall that was used during that night. This is where she should've had her first dance with Jeron. And Gab knows about it.
For seven months, the two have been inseparable. They have been a perfect couple. And they have been sincerely in love with each other. But in the past few days, Kim noticed some changes with Gab.
His smiles were weak. He doesn't even take the chance to look at her in the eyes for so long. When he talks, he seemed disconnected. In short, he seems so distant. And Kim knew that something's bothering her man.
"May problema ba tayo, Gab?" she asked as she lowered her head.
She have never imagined herself asking such questions. She was never that type of girl who would point out that something's wrong in a relationship. But then, she knew she had to voice out her feelings. After all, she learned a lesson from her past.
"Kim..." Gab called.
Kim looked at him intently, waiting for him to speak again.
She can clearly see the sadness in his eyes. Kim cannot think of any good reason behind the sadness she saw. And seeing him in that state pains her even more.
