Never have I imagined for this to happen. Seeing the girl I loved in the arms of another man, it’s killing me. Akala ko sa movies lang to nangyayari. Yun pala it happens in real life, worse, sa akin pa.
From a moment, I wanted to pull her away from him. But then the truth comes in just a split second, she’s my ex girlfriend. My ex, which means my past. At isa pa, I have my present girl, just beside me. I couldn’t dare to hurt her.
But no matter how hard I try to shrug away this feeling, hindi ko magawa. I know for myself that I have moved on. Okay na ako eh. But why do I feel jealous?
“Je, juice oh.” Eliza said as she handed be a glass of juice.
I took the glass as she sat next beside me. “Thanks.”
“You okay?” she asked. “Mukhang ang lalim yata ng iniisip mo. Akala ko ba we’re here to enjoy?”
I looked at here and smiled a bit. “Wala to. Anyway, are you hungry? Kunan kita ng food.”
She nodded. I was about to stand when Kim and Gab passed by us.
“Kim!” tawag ni Eliza sa kanya, but Kim did not hear her call.
We watched the two as the approached the others, mukhang may hinahanap sila. Si Kim, halatang natataranta.
“Rico! Rica!” boses ni Kim.
I immediately stood up and rushed to where she was. She was looking far at the sea. I shifted my gaze to where she was looking and I saw Gab rushing to the two kids drowning. Hindi na ako nagpatumpik-tumpik pa. I rushed to save the kids too.
Gab was able to save the young girl, nakuha ko naman yung lalaki. We immediately rushed back to the shore. Kitang kita sa hitsura niya yung pag-aalala.
“Oh God!” she cried.
Niyakap naman siya ng dalawang bata. “Sorry ate.”
My heart throbbed so fast. I breathe heavily as I watch her hug the kids. Marami ng tao ang nakapaligid sa amin. Pero siya lang ang nakikita ko, not until Gab came into the picture.
“Rest muna kayo.” Gab said as he placed a towel around the two kids.
“Jeron.” I heard Eliza’s voice.
I shifted my gaze to my right and I saw her. She handed me a towel. “Okay ka lang?”
I nodded. Nilipat ko agad ang tingin ko pabalik kay Kim, but it was too late. She was already walking away with the kids... and Gab.
“Woah! Kinabahan ako dun ah!” I heard Drew’s voice. “Saan ba galing yung mga batang yun?”
“Ba’t kasi dinala ni Kim yung mga bata dito.” I heard Eliza say. “Alam naman niyang makukulit yun.”
