It’s not hard to notice her beauty. I’m fascinated by every move that she would make. I’ve never felt this way for a very long time. Siguro the last time na may na-appreciate talaga ako, was when I met Kim. I was mesmerized by her beauty, down to her flaws.
“Are you okay?” I asked her.
She nodded. “Akala ko kung ano na ang nangyari sa pinsan kong yun.”
“Ano bang nangyari?” I asked her.
“Nahimatay daw.” She answered. “Di kasi yun mahilig mag-breakfast kaya siguro ganun.”
And for the nth time today, naalala ko ulit siya. I don’t know why but Eliza’s cousin reminds me of Kim. May similarities sila, from what I have heard from Eliza.
Like Eliza’s cousin, Kim’s not into breakfast. Once ko lang yata yun nakitang kumain ng agahan, and that’s when I asked her to have breakfast with me.
“What are you doing here?” she asked hysterically. “My mom’s gonna kill me pag nakita ka niya!”
I chuckled. “Wala ang parents mo, kaya it’s okay for me to be here.”
“Jeron!” she hissed. “Sino naman ang nag-papasok sa’yo dito?”
“Si mang boy.” I said and grinned.
Kumunot ang noo niya. “Kilala ka ni mang boy?”
“Ofcourse! Kung alam mo lang…” I paused.
“What do you mean?” she asked as she crossed her arms.
“Sinusundan tayo lagi ni mang boy.” I said. “Everytime we’re together, nasa tabi-tabi lang si mang boy.”
Her eyes widened. “What?!”
I chuckled. “Let’s just talk about it over breakfast, okay ba yun?”
“You know I don’t take my breakfast.” She said. “At isa pa, manang’s not here, kaya no one can cook for us.”
I smiled at her. “Don’t worry, we’ll cook our own breakfast.”
“Ha?!” she muttered.
I pulled her hand and dragged her to the kitchen. I brought with me the ingredients in making pancakes. Since alam ko naman na hindi marunong magluto si Kim, pancakes nalang yung gagawin namin. Yun lang din naman ang kaya kong gawin.
She looked at me intently. “Are you sure you know what you’re doing?”
“Oo naman!” I said as I handed her the eggs. “Here oh. Basagin mo.”
“Ha? Hindi ako marunong!” she mumbled.
