For the first time in my UAAP career, I can finally say that the championship is already within my reach.

Game one is set today. Kinakabahan ako na na-eexcite. I just cant wait to be in the court with my brother. As they say, blood is thicker than water. But at this point, hindi na pamilya ang pinaglalaban namin ni Jeric, instead, it's the glory of our own schools.

As much as I want to give way to my brother para manalo, I just couldn't alam ko rin naman na hindi niya magugustuhan kung hindi ko aayusin ang laro ko. I just want to give him a good game. And yes, I just want to beat him.

Inayos ko muna ang shoelace ko bago ako sumunod sa teammates ko na palabas ng dugout. I can sense na maganda ang laro ko today. I'm in the mood dahil na rin sa nangyari kahapon. It was a bit awkward, but I guess I just needed that assurance from my girlfriend na ako lang ang mahal niya. And most importantly, that assurance na wala siyang gusto sa kapatid ko.

I can hear the cheers of the crowd as soon as I made my way out. I'm so just happy with their support, lalo na at alam kong nandito ang girlfriend ko to support me.

I looked at the the crowd and spotted my mom, achi Alyssa and Eliza. They were all wearing green. Eliza smiled and mouthed "good luck". Napangiti naman ako.

Pero that happiness didn't last long. Tinawag na rin kaming first five. I walked towards my brother.

"May the best team win nalang bro." he said sabay tapik sa likod ko.

"Yeah." I mumbled.

"Go baby!" someone screamed from the UST side.

Sanay na akong makarinig ng mga ganung sigaw whenever we have games. But this time, the voice was kinda familiar to me, lalo naman sa kapatid ko.

He shifted his gaze to where the voice came from. And it was a big mistake na lumingon din ako. I saw Saab, with her.

What is she doing here?

Kumunot ang noo ko. She's here. So she must be with him.

Tinapik na ako ni Ahia. "Good luck bro."

And then the game began.

LA passed the ball to me. I was about to take a shot when Kevin Ferrer made a steal. It was an easy steal. How could that happen?

"Okay lang yan bro." sabi ni Norbert sa akin.

I tried myself to focus in the game. I swear I did. And I know I can do so much better. Pero hindi lang talaga mawala sa isip ko yung thought na she's watching me play.

"Jeron!" AVO called as he passed to me the ball.

But I was just too engrossed with my thought kaya huli na akong nakagalaw. Turn over na naman.
