There will always be that moment when you would wish that you can bring back the past. Right now, I couldn’t help but wish for the world to turn the other way around, and bring me back to that time when I decided to leave him – to leave Jeron.

But I know this is all just because of this awkward situation where I’m in; a very awkward situation where I just wish to disappear.

I plastered a fake smile to the Tengs.  This is really awkward. Kung hindi lang talaga ako nakita ni Jeric, then I wouldn’t be in this situation.

Anyway, nahila ako ni Gab para manood ng game ng NU vs. UST. Since pinilit din ako ni Saab na manood, wala na akong choice. I knew na possible kong makita si Jeron sa game, and I knew my dear cousin would be there too. Hindi ko lang talaga alam kung ano ang magiging reaction ni Eliza if she’ll know na may girlfriend na si Jeric. And I just don’t really know kung ano ang magiging reaction niya pag-malaman niyang magkakilala kami ni Jeric, matagal na. I know she might curse me for hiding that from her, pero I just didn’t want to hurt her.

After the game Saab rushed to the courtside to congratulate Jeric. Gab and I have no choice but to follow her. Since naka upo kami sa other corner, we had to walk papunta malapit sa Tigers.

“Can I just stay here?” bulong k okay Gab.

He looked at me, then shifted his gaze to Saab. “Saab, we’ll just stay here.”

“Okay.” She said and waved her hand.

Gab faced me with a serious look. “Sorry if I dragged you here. Alam ko namang possible mong makita si Jeron dito eh.”

I shook my head. “Hindi ko naman siya iniiwasan. It’s just that.. Jeric knows me.”

“And?” he asked.

I looked at him intently and heaved out a sigh. “I don’t know if I should tell you this but..Alright, hindi alam ni Eliza na naging kami ni Jeron. So yeah.”

He eyed on me, as if he wasn’t convinced. “Sigurado ka yun lang?”

“Gab, I just don’t want to hurt Eliza.” I said. “Masasaktan siya pagmalaman niya na yung boyfriend niya, ay ex ng pinsan niya.”

“Eh, ikaw, hindi ka ba niya nasasaktan?” he asked as he looked at me intently, but immediately looked away.

I sighed. “Lets not talk about him, pwede?”

He looked back at me and held my hands. “Tara, mag-paalam muna tayo kay Saab. You’re parents are coming home diba?”

Nasapo ko ang noo ko. Right. My parents are coming home.

“Wait, paano mo nalaman?” I asked.

Ngumiti lang siya ng nakakaloko. “Secret.”
