It’s been a week since I became sick. Ewan ko ba kung anong sakit ang dumapo sa akin. Siguro dahil sa taong buntot ng buntot sa akin. Si Gab.
I don’t know whats up with this guy. Simula nung nagkasakit ako and he took care of me, hindi na siya nawawala sa paningin ko. He’s always around. I guess he’s really trying his best to annoy me.
Like what he told me before, nagtransfer nga siya sa lahat ng classes ko. Since we have the same course, pareho kami ng subjects na kinuha, and he took advantage of that. Ewan ko lang talaga kung ano ang trip ng lalaking yun.
And speaking of, kalat na sa buong campus na may ‘something’ daw sa amin ni Gab. Isa pang bwisit na nangyari after kong magkasakit. Hindi ko na nga lang pinapansin. Well actually that’s weird. Ang pagkaka-alam ko, everytime may bagong girlfriend si Gab, they wouldn’t mind. Kasi naman normal na yun sa kanila. But now, parang ang daming nagre-react, kahit hindi naman totoo. Ako nga na involved mismo sa issue, walang paki-alam. Afterall, hindi naman talaga totoo yung issue. But the people around me – they’re too curious of what’s going on between the two of us.
“I heard na nag-absent si Gab just to take care of her.” I heard a girl whisper to the other girl beside her.
I shifted my gaze to them. I looked at them sabay taas ng kilay. They both looked away.
“Wag mo nalang silang pansinin.” Sabi ni Diva, one of my few friends in campus.
“Alam mo, they’re just jealous.” Singit ni Kaileen, another friend of mine. “Kasi, Gab flirted with them dati, but he never did that to them.”
I eyed on her. “So? What do you mean?”
“Well, ang alam ko, Gab is not that type of guy na mag-aabsent just to take care of a girl.” She explained. “Baka maniwala pa ako kung nakipag-landian lang siya.”
“Wait, so you mean, issue na sa kanila yun?” I asked in disbelief. “Grabe! At teka nga, who was spreading this stupid rumor ba?”
“You know Drew?” Diva asked. “He’s actually Gab’s friend. And as what I’ve heard, mom niya yung family doctor niyo.”
“At siyempre, social media. And duh! Involved kaya si Gab, so obviously issue yan!” Kaileen added.
“Chismosong Drew talaga.” I muttered. “Isusumbong ko siya sa mommy niya.”
“Pero teka nga.” I looked at them intently. “Ganyan ba talaga ka sikat yang si Gab?”
They both nodded.
“Kaya pala malaki yung ulo eh.” I mumbled.
“Pero Kim, what’s the real score ba between the two of you?” Diva asked. “Friends nga lang ba, or may something na?”
Muntik ko ng maibuga ang iniinom ko. “Seriously you’re asking me that?!”
“Malamang.” She snapped. “So what now? May something ba?”
