Audre: "Hello? . . Ha? . . Nasaan ka ba? . . Teka besy, kalma ka. . .hindi kita maintindihan. . . saglit, tahan ka nga muna. . . nasaan ka? Puntahan kita. . . Okay. . . antayin mo ako dyan ha. . papunta na ako. okay, love you too. . wait for me there, okay. . bye."
Audre went to Ayin's house -
Ayin: (cries) "Besy."
Audre: "Besy, what's happening?"
Ayin: "I saw him with another girl. . . kissing. . . they're kissing."
Audre gasps to her disbelief and immediately hugs her bestfriend.
Audre: "Oh, no."
Ayin: "I broke up with him." (continue crying)
Audre: "No."
Audre: "Did he explain or do something else; did he try to talk to you?"
Ayin: "No."
Audre: "No."(gasps)
"Please don't give up yet. Mahal ka ni Paolo. Hindi ako naniniwalang ginawa nya yun o magagawa niya yun sa'yo. Please don't give up yet. Mahal ko kayo pareho. Malalaman din natin kung anong gulo ito. Maybe this is just a misunderstanding."
Ayin: "I don't want to talk to him anymore. Ayaw ko na."
Audre: "Wait lang Besy, please. (starts to sob) Please, don't do this. Ahmm, I know that your relationship is just between the two of you, but I am your bestfriend. Both of you. It is hard for me to see you this way. I just can't accept yet that this is the end. No. Please." (hugs Ayin)
Audre continue to hug Ayin, to comfort her. They are both crying and really feel defeated.
Audre calls Mart.
Audre: "Mart?"
Mart: "Hi Miss. Kumusta ka na?" (greets cheerfully)
Audre: "Can you come at my place right now?" (on serious tone)
Mart: "Ah. . Sure. I'll be there in 30 minutes. Is everything okay? Are you hurt?" (changes his tone, and worries)
Audre: "I am fine. Nothing happened to me. I will just explain to you when you get here. But don't rush, okay? Ingat ka ha."
Mart: "Yes, maam. I will. Be there soon. Bye"
Mart feels worried and kind of panicking as he rushes to Audre's door.
Mart: "What's happening?"
Audre: "Come sit with me. No, I can't sit. Ikaw na lang umupo ha, then listen to me."
Mart obliges and sits at the sofa. Audre starts walking back and forth and explains.
Audre: "Hindi ko alam kung anong nangyari, pero nakipag-break si Ayin kay Paolo."
Mart: "Ha?!"
Audre: "I know. I just got a call from Ayin, then I went to check on her. Tapos ang sinabi nya lang sa akin, nahuli nyang may ibang babaeng kahalikan si Paolo."
Mart: "No."
Audre: "And then, what Ayin said, nakipagbreak na daw sya, tapos I asked her kung kinausap ba sya o pinigilan ni Pao, or kung nag-explain man lang, wala daw. Kaya nag-walk out na sya. Then she called me."
Mart: "Saan mo pinuntahan sa Ayin?"
Audre: "Sa bahay nila."
Mart: "I haven't seen Paolo since yesterday. Hindi ako sure nasaan si Paolo ngayon. I was in my room all day today and yesterday making reports."
Audre: "Can you check with your Uncle, or anybody else at your house kung andun si Paolo?"
Mart: "Okay, sure. Wait, I will just make a call."
After awhile~
Mart: "Wala na daw sa bahay, nakita lang ni lola na may dalang bag. Lola asked kung saan papunta, sabi lang sa kanya e may pupuntahan lang. Hindi nya talaga sinabi kung saan pupunta."
Audre: "F*ck!"
Mart: "I will try to call him now."
"He's not answering."
Audre: "Argh! This is bullsh*t!!" (worries)
Mart tried calling his uncle to ask if he knows where Paolo is. Fortunately, his uncle knows. It is revealed that Paolo went to their rest house in Zambales.
Audre: "Mart, can you help me? I want to go see Paolo and ask what's happening. Please, samahan mo ako kay Paolo."
Mart: "Of course, oo naman. I will help. These two are closest to me, and you. I can't afford to let this pass by. Our friends need our help."
Audre calls Ayin to talk about her plan, convinces her that she will help resolve this. Audre seeks Ayin not to give up yet. Ayin sadly responds that she cannot hope on anything right now.
Audre: "Can we go tomorrow there? Do you know where that rest house is?"
Mart: "Yes I know. Yup, I can take you there tomorrow."
There was a brief silence. Mart and Audre is just looking at each other. Audre is worrying for her best friends. Mart is worrying for Audre. It seems like both of them doesn't want to end their conversation.
Another brief silence-
Audre: "Would you like to. . "
Mart: "Can I . ."
Awkward feelings. Both of them laughed it out.
Mart: "What did you say?"
Audre: "Ahm, ikaw, anong sinabi mo?"
Mart: "Would it be fine if I say that I want to spend time with you now, as I am also worrying about you. I know that you worry for them. And I know, kakagaling mo lang sa sakit. Baka mapaano ka naman."
Audre: "You are so thoughtful. Thank you. (smiles) I was just saying, if you would like to stay here for a bit. Let's have dinner and let's talk about this and what we will do tomorrow. Is that okay?"
Mart: "Yeah, I like that very much." (smiles)
