The following morning, after breakfast –
Grams: "Let us go to The Farm* later ha, ipasyal natin itong si Mart."
*The Farm is a zoo.
The kids are happy and clapping upon hearing that they would go to The Farm.
One helper addressed Audre,
"Maam, may bisita po kayo sa labas."
Audre: "Sino po, manang?"
Helper: "si Sir Rustin po."
Audre is shocked and is stunned for a moment. She instantly goes out to meet Rustin. Mart sees this reaction from Audre, felt something unpleasant, but manages to control.
Ate to Mart: "That's Audre's childhood friend."
Grams: "More like puppy love?" (laughs)
Ate: "Grammie." (looks to dismiss the idea)
Ate to Mart: "Wag ka maniwala kay Grams." (winks)
Mart tries to walk towards the window, to briefly checks on Audre.
Rustin: "Hey, Riri!"
Audre: "Tintoy!" (walks towards Rustin to give him a hug)
Rustin: "It's been a long time. ." (hugs Audre intimately, kisses her forehead and long enough)
Audre: "How did you know I am here?"
Rustin: "I just happened to see Manong Felix. He told me that you are here."
Audre: "Well, I am just here for a short vacation. Just visiting Grams and Ate." (smiles)
Rustin: "Ri, can I see you tonight?"
Audre: "Ahm, I'm sorry Tin, I can't. Maybe some other time?" (laughs awkwardly)
Rustin: "Alright. I am just soo happy to see you. (hugs Audre again)
I wish to spend more time with you." (smells her hair)
Audre: "I will see you around, okay?" (smiles, and steps back from embrace)
Rustin looks at the porch, and see Grams, "Hi, Grammie!"
Grams: "Hello, hijo!" (waves)
Rustin sees Mart from the window, then looks at Audre.
Rustin: "I missed you big time na. Nagpakita lang talaga ako sayo, but I will be going ahead now. Laters, Ri!" (kisses Audre on her cheeks)
Audre: "Bye, Tin!" (walks Rustin to the gate)
As Audre goes back into the house, everyone is preparing to leave to go to the zoo. She approaches Mart and asks,
Audre: "Are you ready?"
Mart looks serious, and just nods.
Audre is startled and wonders at his reaction. What seems to be wrong?
The family goes ahead.
At the zoo-
Alesandra is busy tending to the kids as the kids are so excited to see animals. Ameera wants to be carried by her daddy. Sebastian is holding Gram's hand and pulling the old lady to go elsewhere. Akino is jumping with much excitement that he feels.
Mart is walking slowly, just looking at the place. Audre moves to his side.
Audre: "Hi." (smiles)
Mart is silent and just smiles, then slowly walks ahead. Audre walks after.
Audre: "Huy."
Mart: "Hmm?"
Audre: "Bakit parang malungkot ka?"
Mart: "Hindi." (continue walking)
Audre: "Kanina ka pa tahimik. It's not the usual you."
Mart: "Ahm, wala, nagko-concentrate lang ako sa makikita ko dito."
Audre: "Haha. Don't tell me na ngayon ka palang nakapunta sa isang zoo?" (tries to cheer Mart up)
Mart just gives a brief smile.
Audre: "Huy, Mart, ano ba kasi nangyayari sa iyo, why all of a sudden, parang wala kang gana." (starts to look serious)
Mart: (pulls Audre close to him for an embrace) "It's nothing." (kisses Audre to her forehead)
"I will just look after Grams."
Then Mart went ahead of Audre. Audre is left there, still confused.
