"Audreanna"
Audre looks up and saw a familiar face.
Audre: "Grams!"
It was her grandmother who spotted her at the coffee shop. Audre stood up and instantly hugs her. Mart stands up, too, as sign of respect.
"What are you doing here, Grams?" Audre was really surprised to see her 80-year old grandmother in front of her.
Grandma: "We went to a meeting with our board members, mija. Apo, I missed you so much."
Audre: "I missed you too, Grams!" (hugs her grandmother again)
Grandma: "Bakit kay tagal mong umuwe sa atin? Hindi mo man lang ako dalawin."
Audre: "I'm sorry Grams, I've been busy here with my studies po." (continue to hug her grandmother)
Grandmother looks at the boy who was with Audre.
Grandma: "You must be the boyfriend. Well, it was nice to finally meet you, hijo." (smiles at Mart)
Mart cannot react or say any, he was too shy to tell a word, but manages to smile.
Grandma: "Aren't you gonna hug me, hijo?"
Mart: "Hello po, ako po si Mart. Kumusta po kayo?" (opening his arms to embrace grandmother)
Grandma: (laughs) "Hahaha. Mabuti naman, hijo. Ako ang lola ni Audreanna." (embraces too)
Mart: "Upo po tayo, may gusto po kayong pagkain? Oorder po ako."
Grandma: "Wag na, naka-order na kami, actually. Lumapit lang ako dahil nakita ko si Audreanna."
"One thing that I request of you though, hijo. Bigyan mo na ako ng apo. Okay?" (smiles)
Mart: "Po?!" (gasps, turns red, and is surprised by the remarks of the grandmother, looks at Audre in an instant)
Audre: "Lola! Ano po ba yang sinasabi mo." (wants to dismiss the idea)
Grandmother: "At bakit? Matanda na ako. Bilisan nyo na, gusto ko na maalagaan ang magiging apo ko sa inyong dalawa."
(turns to Mart) "Pumunta ka sa bahay ah. I will be expecting you from now on. Please. Have a vacation to our house; I am inviting you to come right away. Mga bukas, aasahan na kita, kayo ni Audre." (laughs again)
Audre: "Pero Grams, . ."
Grandmother: "I won't take no for an answer from both of you. Matagal na akong naghihintay na dalawin ako. Kaya, No. you have to come. Bring this hijo to our house, para makilala ng kapatid mo."
Audre cannot dismiss her grandmother anymore.
Audre: "Sige po."
Grandmother: "Goodbye, mga apo. You have no idea how happy you made me." (exits)
Audre feels stressed, and awkward; and very embarrassed towards Mart.
Audre: "I am sorry for what happened ah." (looks sad and worried)
Audre is restless, she doesn't want to disappoint her Grandmother, but she knows that she and Mart are just starting and trying to figure out their relationship. She doesn't know what to do.
Audre: "Can you help me?"
Mart: "Of course."
Audre: "Can we pretend that we are a couple? Hindi ko kasi sya matanggihan, lalu na nakita ko na ang saya nya kanina, ang hirap sabihin na hindi pa naman tayo."
Mart: "I will help you, of course. Kahit na magiging palabas lang ito, pero para sa akin, magiging totoo ako. Mahal kita.."
