Jacob looked to his brother, who nodded. The police officer leaned over his fiancé's body, gently placing his hands on her chest. With a deep breath, he started CPR. It wasn't working and that's when he realized that he might not be able to save her. He tried everything that he could think of besides using an AED. Jacob was reluctant to use it because of what she had been through just four days before. Would it even help her? Tears made his vision blurry as he leaned over his dead fiancé's body to try CPR again. His brother came over and put his hand on his brother's back.

Kyle: Jacob, we might have to use one.

Jacob: What if it causes issues because of what happened four days ago?

Kyle: It's different, Jake. It won't hurt her, it will hopefully bring her back.

Jacob: May I set it up? It would be more comfortable for both of us. I am going to be her husband, if she makes it.

Kyle: She'll make it, Jacob. And of course. I was going to ask you to do it anyway.

Jacob took a shaky deep breath before he started to prepare the AED. Once that was done, he cleared everyone away from her body and he whispered: "Come back, Kailyn."

They shocked her, and Jacob checked her pulse. He shook his head and looked up at his brother.

Jacob: Nothing.

Kyle: If not even this is working, we might have to accept the truth. She's dead.

Jacob: I refuse to believe that.

After they shocked her again, Jacob finally decided to accept the horrible truth, his fiancé was dead. Kyle took the paramedics outside, so Jacob could tell Samantha and the Trio. With tears in his eyes, he got everyone's attention.

Jacob: I hate to say this, but there's nothing we can do to save her. She's gone.

Jessica: KAILYN! No, she can't be dead, she just can't be.

She flung her arms around her sister's dead body. The skin of her sister was ice cold and there were no signs of life. Kirstin lifted her head when she heard Jessica's agonized cries. She stumbled to her feet, and sorrowfully walked over to Kailyn's dead body. Falling to her knees beside the body, Kirstin placed her head on Kailyn's chest. Jessica suddenly stood up and rushed outside.

Samatha: Jessica!

She stood up and rushed after her sister. Scott and Mitch moved to put their arms around Kirstin. Jacob was seated with Kailyn's head resting on his lap.

Jacob: She died in a heroic way. She will be remembered.

Kirstin lifted her head and leaned into Scott, burying her face in his chest. Mitch just stared at his friend's dead body.

Mitch: How did this happen?

Scott: Mark. He wanted to kill Kirstin, but Kailyn saved her, by taking the knife for her.

Kirstin: S-Scott, we have to do a legacy tour for her. Please.

Mitch and Scott looked at each other as they pondered what Kirstin had just said. They nodded before Scott rubbed Kirstin's arm gently with his hand. Then Kyle came inside and crouched down beside Kailyn's body. The firefighter's brown eyes had hope sparkling inside them.

Kyle: I do have some good news. If we transported her to the hospital, they might be able to save her.

At the sound of that Jacob's head shot up, as he gently got to his knees. The paramedics came inside and crouched beside the dead body. Kyle nodded to Jacob, who carefully scooped up his fiancé before placing her onto the stretcher. As soon as they had strapped her down, they rushed her outside. Scott gently lifted his friend into his arms and encouraged her to walk toward the car. Jessica and Samantha met the stretcher with Jessica pleading to ride in the ambulance. They were both allowed and Jessica was the first one to climb inside as if she didn't want to be apart from her sister.

Samantha: It's going to be okay, Jess. They'll save her.

The oldest sister ran her hand over Jessica's medium brown hair, comforting her. Her sister's body was trembling with grief as she watched the paramedics try to treat their sister the best they could. It was going to be a long waiting process that they would have to endure, but there was hope. The question still remains. Will their little sister survive?
