I drove behind Victoria and she called me. Groaning, I answered her call. "Hey Vic, how ya doing?"
"Don't act dumb, Jess. I have our target in my sights, her best friend is behind her though."
My stomach dropped as I changed lanes and sped around Victoria. I pulled in front of her, only for her to whip around me and Malone. I slammed my brakes on as I watched her throw my sister off and swerved to make it look accidental, she then rammed straight into my sister's car. I screamed my sister's name as I watched the car run into the median with trees around it. No, no, no. Please don't be dead. I pulled over and got out, tears streaming down my face. I didn't know that they were planning this. Was my sister dead? Please tell me that she survived. I could see her best friend outside her car on the phone. Crouching low, I snuck into the median and hid in a bush where I could see my sister's car. There was a branch jutting into the windshield. No, no, no. I crept forward a little more and was on the other side of car. Standing up to where I could peer inside the window, I let out a sob at what I saw. My little sister was lying limp against the steering wheel. Blood running down both arms and from her face. There was glass all over her body. I fell to my knees, crying. She was probably dead and it was my fault. I stumbled to my feet and bolted to my–well Victoria's–car and flung myself into the driver's side and sat there then decided to just lie down in the backseat. I didn't feel like driving, I felt sick to my stomach and there were chills setting in my body. It wasn't even cold outside and I was in the car shivering. I climbed into the backseat and laid on my back, staring at the ceiling of the car. I had just watched my little sister be murdered by my biological sister, who I would never see as my sister. She's my enemy now and will forever be. She just killed my baby sister, who I had protected ever since she came into my life. Her parents were killed in a plane crash and so were her older sister and brother. She had one alive sister, who was a nurse down in Arlington. That's how we met the family. We have a vacation house down there. When my sister's parents and siblings were killed, my parents offered to adopt her. We welcomed her in with open arms. I was adopted myself because my mother just left and my biological father was crazy and I wanted to leave, so his brother, which is now my father decided to adopt me to protect me. My older sister, Samantha was protective of me and that made me protective of Kailyn, my baby sister. Then my biological father wanted me to 'train' with him. At first I told him that I wasn't interested, but that only got me in the hospital with a broken wrist. Even though I didn't tell my parents or sisters what had happened, Kailyn was always by my side. I smiled softly remembering the memories of when she came into my room. She was so happy to see me that she climbed into the bed with me and soon fell asleep with her head on my chest. I had snugged with her until I was discharged. Even then I never let go of my little sister. The next time I met up with him, he asked me if I had learned my lesson, and I told him that I couldn't because of my sister. He put me into the hospital, but this time Samantha had watched him beat me. She never left my side and was reluncant to let me go anywhere by my self. After seeing the fear on my baby sister's face after she learned what happened, I decided maybe I could keep her safe by not scaring her everytime that I told my biological father no; therefore, I met up with him again and told him that I would on one condition, that I could still spend time with my sisters. He agreed and that's when I realized that he may have other plans in mind. My mind was drawn back to the scene by sirens. I watched in silence as they got to work retrieving my sister from the car. When they finally pulled her out of there, her body was limp and I feared that she was dead. I couldn't take it any longer. I got out and approached a police officer then asked him if she was alive and if I could get past. He helped my get away from the scene and I got back to the vacation home. My entire body was trembling as I collapsed to my knees, bawling. The police officer didn't know whether she was alive or if she was even going to make it.
