"We were a family once, perhaps better than we are now. It happens, siblings argue, they fight, they say things they don't mean, they try to kill you.
But I don't think we were the cause of it.
Heinrik dying surely played a part. Mikael and his abuse surely did but I believe the love of our mother ruined us all. She loved us so much that in her fear of losing another child, she created the monsters we are today.
Maybe I was always one, I was always a monster and I covered it up , but the one thing I swear above all is that my daughter will never come to know the cruelty of a mother turning her into a monster, she will never come to know the scars Mikael left. That is a promise one I will keep always and forever.
