Kara sighs irritated, another reason to be to upset at her family, the washing machine was broken, and no one bothered to have it fixed or replaced which meant she had to have a very awkward conversation with the lady at the laundromat in regards to the blood stains marring her clothes. Usually she'd toss it out but Hayley was rather finicky.
"I don't care how many millions you have stashed or in your account, we won't just throw clothes out because they're bloody, it's salvageable and most of your clothes are designer kara , stop acting like a stuck up rich girl."
Kara was half amused and half horrified by the comparison and decided to have the clothes laundered along with Hope's, at least until the new washing machine and dryer arrived.
As she walks down the streets she sees a familiar blonde come her way, face stuck into her phone. Kara smiles a bit and stands in her way, not moving until the blonde is forced to look up.
"Hey..—" she complained but stopped midway "Kara! You're back?" Camille asks with a bright but confusing smile.
Kara shrugs "Not entirely no, some things needed my wife and I's attention, we thought it best to deal with in person. But it is good seeing you Camille. It's been a while."
Camille scoffed playfully "a while? Is that what you call four months?"
Kara smiled "To an immortal it's barely more than a minute."
Camille chuckled before it fell "Gimme a minute?" She asked her friend before taking the detectives call.
Kara tries to give the woman privacy but it's very difficult with her hearing, she hears a mention of Camille being right and that it's happened again. The comment confuses the hybrid. When Camille finished the call she sighed "I have to go." She apologized
Kara waved it off "By all means, but I'm curious , you're a detective now? Or are you just building profiles based on your psychology degree?"
Camille snorts "Part time barmaid, part time therapist.. yeah I guess."
Kara chuckled "Good for you, profiling is a very lucrative career, especially in this city. Well I'll let you go." Kara says and turns to leave.
"Actually, wait, I have a question." Cami says stopping the hybrid
Kara turns and tilts her head "Okay?"
Cami sighs pushing her hair back "there's some vampire getting off killing his victims and setting them up like some kind art work. Any ideas?"
Kara scowls "I'm going to need more than that, firstly why are they displaying bodies for the authorities to find? Second you're going to have to speak to Elijah or Marcel since they're the ones dealing with vampire business in the quarter and if one their guys decided to put the entire community at risk they need to deal with it." She paused "But you said art works? Any distinguishing pattern?"
Cami pursed her lips "Yeah, beside being strung up like a puppet, the face was cut up from ear to ear, into some strange twisted version"
"Of a smile.." Kara finishes, her expression blank. "on second thought mind me joining you?"
Cami sees the look "You've seen this before?"
Kara's eyes flash in annoyance and anger "It rings a bell yes." She motions to the street "Shall we?"
Kara follows Camille to the crime scene she catches a glimpse of her brothers old vessel she never met the man but he's clearly seen her or knows who she is.
Camille waves to the detective "Detective Kinney"
Kinney greets cami and looks at the woman beside her "I'm sorry who's this?"
