Book after book was sped through , the entire room was filled with numerous grimoires from her travels and some belonging to Kol and then a few belonging to her mother.
That was exactly what Claire walked in on. "Did a bomb go off?"
Kara turned and faced Claire, blood dripping from her nose "Hello" she muttered before wiping away the blood with a tissue , tossing it with the rest. A pile used bloody tissues gathered on the desk nearby.
"What the hell?" Claire asked clearly shocked by her friends appearance.
Kara groaned rubbing her forehead "I need another favor"
"Let me guess it has to do with the black magic pouring from you?"
Kara managed a weak smile "Right in one." She leaned against the bookshelf "I may have disturbed something I shouldn't have touched." She pulled up her sleeve and showed Claire a Nordic symbol "My Norse is rusty.. but I know when I'm marked by a black magic."
Claire grabbed her hand "At the risk of sounding repetitive, what the hell Kara!"
Kara sighed visibly tired "I'm in no mood for a lecture on the do's and don't's of black magic, what I need to know is whether or not you'll be able to remove it."
"I don't know.. you have to tell me exactly what you touched, how long you've been in contact .." Claire said shaking her head, trying to come up with anyway to purge the black magic "It's complicated." She murmured touching the Nordic runes "old.. definitely has some sacrificial magic .."
"Yes, that was my conclusion as well, none of the grimoires I have or the ones from Kol's stash or mother dearests tells me anything."
Claire scoffed "It won't, it's probably a original spell, fucking hell. When last have you fed? You look like the walking dead"
Kara laughed weakly "I've fed, not that it matters much, my body seems to loathe the taste of blood now." She admitted "But a few hours ago and like I said it doesn't help. I managed to escape Hayley and Klaus so far but I won't be able to hide it any longer."
"What happened?" Claire asked more seriously
Kara sighed taking her arm back "It's better if I show you."
Kara led the witch down to the basement, she felt weaker, not as weak when the wolves were siphoning her power but if things carried on as it was she was sure she'd soon be in the very same position if not worse. She pushed open the door, and lit the lamps.
The room lit up with the soft glow of the oil lamps burning along the stone walls.
"Your family is creepy" Claire muttered staring the various coffins. Each of them has a letter on. She saw one with the letter R "Lemme guess Klaus's idea?"
Kara chuckled dryly "Is it that obvious?" She enquired curiously.
Claire frowned, running her finger across Rebekah's dark wooden coffin "It looks like something a man suffering from extreme paranoia would do."
