Bayou- November 2014

Kara stared at the poorly hidden bear trap , a scowl marring her features "How many of them have you found?"

Aiden scuffed his foot angrily "Hundreds more, most not as poorly hidden as this one but it's clear whoever this boss is of kingmaker development, knows what they're hunting, really hunting."

Kara's scowl deepens at the news , a look that makes Aiden slightly scared "How many are missing, Hayley said Jackson told her three guys haven't come back from the nightly run?"

"Yeah, three and then there's also a family, dad and mom, they left their little girl behind, eve's been taking care of her ever since." Aiden explains sadly

"I'll take care of it, for now, spread the word, no One is to transform , until I rid ourselves of our problem." Kara says taking another look at the trap "And get rid of of these things — The contractors will be here in the next two weeks or so to start on proper construction for our peoples homes."

Aiden nods a little before kara walks off "It's good to have you back, I mean, we haven't bothered the vampires or the witches, just been doing our own thing , but it's good to have you back."

Kara smirked "I was under the impression you loathed my vampire side?"

Aiden sighed "I can't really loathe your vampire side if I'm dating one can I?" He asks with a small smile "And it's just that the wolves lost plenty to vampires and the witches I guess we just .. worried is all."

Kara nods "Well your support is appreciated, I was a wolf long before I became a vampire and my father taught me the importance of pack and family." She said with a sad smile "He wanted to make sure I was prepared when I eventually took his position.. "

After the chat she had with Aiden , she met up with Hayley who'd been making her rounds with the pack, many of them happy their alpha's were back and despite the many conversations she and Hayley had about possibly living permanently in Europe. They hadn't landed a definite yet, the pro's definitely outweighed the cons but in the end both of them were alpha's there pack would always be important but raising their daughter in a safe environment, trumped that.

Kara sighed softly, in the end, there were many things to consider, her siblings for one. Niklaus would definitely not be happy with the decision to move Hope far from them, Rebekah, well Davina hadn't been able to find her, said she was cloaked, given the way she'd been when Kara and Hayley last saw her, they definitely wouldn't put it past their sister. She just needed time , time to come to terms with Claire's death, while Kara certainly had the pleasure of knowing her longer, the relationship she and Claire shared compared to Claire and Rebekah was vastly different. Every time she attempted putting herself in Rebekah's shoes , she could scarcely imagine a existence without Hayley in it, it was a horrifying and sobering thought. So yeah, Rebekah possibly needed space and time away to be able to grieve.

Elijah wouldn't be too torn up about her and Hayley moving away, in fact he'd most likely encourage it as a move that would be best for their daughter.

Freya was unknown, Kara didn't know her that well , the only other problem would be kol, Kol had spent years following her and klaus's orders , the boy needed freedom and maybe he'd agree in the end but would kick up a fuss.

"What's got you thinking so hard babe?" Hayley asked pulling her from her introspective thoughts. She looked at the rear view mirror and saw Hope was fast asleep, grasping her wooden wolf figurine.

"Our conversation about moving and how the rest of the family would take it if we did decide to make a home elsewhere."

Hayley pursed her lips "Where did we land on that?"
