Mikaelson compound
The day wore on, Kara forgot to ask Klaus whether or not he and Marcel were rekindling their relationship, if so she would vehemently be against it. Even though the vampire did assist with ridding her of those pesky guerraras' he was still on her to kill list.
She had just been preoccupied as of late, plot after plot surely took precedence but as soon as she was done eliminating the threats closer to home, she'd take care of the growing vampire community across the river.
She sighed staring at herself in the mirror, because of her fit the last time, the mirror was splintered and cracked, yet she continued to stare at her reflection, pondering the gods words. She was his reincarnation, yet she still had no idea what that meant.
No she understood reincarnation. She did.
But why her? What made her so special?
In the first place she had long given up on gods ever existing, surely there wouldn't be gods as cruel to allow a child suffer abuse.
She believed them absent , they didn't exist because there was no way in hell they'd sit on their golden thrones and watch her suffer beneath Mikael's rage and anger.
If they existed she'd curse them until the day she died , those were her thoughts and yet she was being inhabited by the Norse god Tyr.
A god of war and justice and honour. Ridiculous truly, she wasn't honourable; she killed her mother twice.
What child could cold heartedly end the person bringing them to this world?
'That doesn't mean you are still not honourable Kara.'
She scowled "You show up at the most inopportune times" she commented glaring after her broken reflection.
'No, I only come when your mind allows me the leeway, because of your past your mental walls are abnormally strong, usually I'm able to enter when you're asleep. But recently you've allowed me more leeway'
Kara rolled her eyes "Yes because I'm now aware that you actually exist.
So tell me Tyr why does that mean I'm honourable?" She asked genuinely wondering what the answer could be, disregarding the fact that she looked crazy talking to her reflection.
'Your mother, she may have birthed you but she does not deserve that title. A mother by definition is one who cares about their children, who loves unconditionally, who would give their life for their child. Your mother may have turned you into vampires because of love but she also sought to end you because she believed you all to be monsters'
Kara laughed, her tone devoid of humour "She was right, we are monsters. All of us. Some more apparent than others but we kill indiscriminately , I've massacred thousands in a fit of rage. That makes me a monster. She may have turned me into a monster but I cannot refute that my actions are monstrous."
'Do you really?' Tyr shot back
"Do I what?"
'Murder indiscriminately? Do you truly?"
She turned her eyes away from the searching expression in the broken mirror , she didn't want to answer because even though she had made a rule for herself that doesn't excuse her actions, not in the least.
