Flashback—KINGDOM OF NORWAY, 972 A.D

A young Esther bundled up and walking through the cold and snow toward a cottage.

Inside the cottage was a darker-haired witch named Dahlia, who was in the midst of performing a spell as she clutched a necklace in her hand. She was surrounded by human skulls, reindeer antlers, and dozens of lit candles

"In unim edito, domino sae domina, cutlas sino liberos, sino liberos." Dhalia casted with her eyes closed.

Finally Esther arrived at the cottage and pushed the door open , closing it behind her , startling Dahlia who didn't look too happy to see her sister who renounced their heritage , Esther removed her mittens and walked toward her older sister.

Esther breathed softly "Sister I've come to beg for your help."

Dhalia looked up skeptically "What for?"

Esther licked her lips in preparation "You know I've always wanted children of my own—"

Dhalia scoffed angrily interrupting her sister "Then go. Have your Viking children."

Esther shook her head "It's almost been a full year and I'm not with child , I fear I'm cursed.." Esther looked at her sister pleadingly "With your magic your could help me sister , please.."

Dhalia sighed in annoyance "You come to me needing favors? If you hadn't abandoned your talents with witchcraft, you could help yourself."

Esther shook her head, tears burning her eyes "I was never as strong as you, I know that! " Dhalia turned away "Just as I know you will not turn me away. You are my sister, and whatever our quarrels, we are bound by blood."

Dahlia turned back to her sister, conflicted, she stared at Esther but then her younger sister cried softly "Please I beg of you.."

Dhalia stared at her sister "What you ask requires a heavy sacrifice" she said unhappily

Esther nodded immediately "I will do whatever you ask of me !"

Safe house

Kara stared at little girl in her arms a small smile curling up at her lips "You've become even more beautiful princess." She whispered softly.

Hayley watched from the door of the room "We can't stay long.. there's still Finn and he still has some of the wolves ears." She said sadly.

Kara didn't look from the sleeping baby in her arms "She's perfect.." she said quietly, her smile was depreciating "I'm not quite sure how I could ever contribute to something so perfect."

Hayley moved closer taking a seat beside her fiancé "we'll bring her home soon..but we need to make sure there aren't anymore threats to deal with."

Kara chuckled softly "Usually I'm the one with thousands of plans running through my head , yet you've been rather busy haven't you little wolf?"

Hayley rolled her eyes teasingly "Mm, I've gathered most of the crescent and the remaining members of your pack. They're scattered in the wind but they know the idea." She paused hesitating "Also Jackson .."

Kara raised a brow "Jackson?"

Hayley sighed "His grandmother .. well she said that even if I'm the alpha Jackson is still the alpha by birth because he's a male and if the wolves want to be free of the moonlight ring, there's a old ritual that binds two alphas , which would theoretically allow the packs to take the alpha's power." She glanced at Kara's face before tacking on "Our daughter would have a werewolf army behind her.. Kara."
