A few days passed since Claire passed away, Rebekah locked herself in her room refusing to come out, things were tense in the compound, Kara's actions against Dahlia clearly left a mark.
Niklaus seemed unsure around her while Elijah seemed somewhat hurt that she didn't trust them enough to tell them the plan, Kol on the other seemed happy, happy that with Dahlia gone , the curse on kara went with it, bringing his sister back to normal.
One person who was the angriest was her wife, she got the cold shoulder and the silent treatment since she woke up. Also a rather hard slap to the face. It was safe to say that Kara was in the doghouse.
Though she hadn't had much time to think about that, when she was readying Claire's body to be transported back to England. When Kara called her parents it was as Claire said in her letter. Her parents a were already aware their daughter was gone.
But despite that Kara had a difficult time explaining or relaying the news until Clarissa stopped her midway and simply told her that they knew and had 25 years to come to terms with their daughter dying.
Which brought her to her current dilemma "Rebekah." She knocked gently on the door. When she didn't hear any response she slowly pushed the door open and found her sister laying on her bed clutching one of Claire's shirts.
Kara's heart broke a little seeing her so distraught. She walked over the bed and sat on then edge "She's been prepared to be taken to England, I'll be flying over, and meeting her parents. Hope and Hayley will be coming with." She paused "I was hoping you'd come to.. say your final goodbyes.."
Rebekah finally looked at her and Kara's eyes welled with tears "I hate her"
Kara smiled sadly "You don't."
Rebekah sniffed "No, I don't, why did she make me fall in love with her if she was getting ready to die?"
Kara sighed softly "I was traveling through Europe a couple of years ago, visiting an old friends grave." Kara reminisced "When this blonde haired teen walks up to me and stares at me and says 'You're kara Mikaelson, we're going to be best friends." Kara snorted shaking her head "Honestly I thought she was insane, then she introduced herself and turns out she was Morgana's direct descendent and the best seer in the coven, at 15 years old she dropped out of school, told her parents straight up that she was leaving with me because we'd be best friends, no matter how much I threatened to lop her head off, she continued to follow after me. Until one day I just gave up. And asked whether she wasn't afraid I'd follow through on my threats. She gave me a look, one that said I was an idiot."
Rebekah laughed "I know the one.."
Kara chuckled "Yeah.. and said 'I know when I'm going to die and it's going to be doing something cool, so no offense you're scary and whatever but dying at your hand wouldn't be cool'" Kara sighed fondly "Honestly I worried for her sanity at times. But my point is, Claire lived everyday like her last, but falling in love with you , never was in her plans but she did anyway, she loved you so much Rebekah, I saw it, everyone did, one thing the two of you had in common was that you both loved fiercely and deeply, her love for you, for Hope.. made her do what she did. And while I don't like that she's gone, I'll never ever be able to describe the gratitude I feel for her act of sacrifice."
Rebekah cried "She was a brilliant woman.."
Kara hummed softly in agreement "She was.. and she'll be terribly missed.."

England
The flight to England was shorter than Kara remembered, her sister was definitely still in the slumps, Hayley barely spoke to her and she had to entertain herself with her daughter who babbled in awe at the plane..
