The bayou
After hearing the news from Jackson that there were a few more packs interested in getting in on the ritual and it's advantages, Kara and Hayley decided to make their way to the bayou, hesitating whether or not to take their daughter along.
In the end kol and Elijah took that decision out of their hands and was more than happy to watch over Hope while Rebekah concentrated on planning for the ceremony, Klaus was more on edge with the recent addition to their family, glaring holes in Freyas head. Another concern.
Kara wondered when he was going to give in and just snap Freya and Ansel's neck, honestly she wouldn't even be surprised.
"What are you doing out here?" Hayley asked walking up with a broom in her hand.
Kara looked away from the small wolf carving she'd taken to creating, while not having Klaus's innate talent, she wasn't too bad ..
She blew away the shavings and showed Hayley the figurine " a gift for Hope." She looked at the broom "Now why do you have a broom?"
Hayley scoffed "I was going to ask you the same thing, why the hell since we got here have people leaving brooms on our porch, I'm not the 'sweep while soups cooking' kind of gal you know."
Kara blinked before smirking "well .." she tried keeping the smile off her face "Back in the day, coming out to the bayou was pretty difficult, especially for a priest.. so if you were engaged and you just couldn't wait.. well the community would let you jump the broom."
Hayley gave Kara a look that was visibly confused completely oblivious to the sexual connotations.
"Couldn't wait for what?" Hayley asked
Kara couldn't keep her laughter at bay anymore and burst out laughing at her fiancé's adorably confused expression .
Hayley frustrated with Kara's laughing hit her with the broom "Stop laughing! And tell me !" she whined
Kara stood to her feet trying to get out of range of the beating "Okay. Okay.". She said between laughs "If we can't wait to have sex we'd jump the broom."
Hayley stopped before flushing more embarrassed than shy "You're an ass."
Kara smiled "True." She tilted her head "We have company." She sighed
Hayley rolled her eyes "Your hearing is really super , I don't even hear anyone coming."
Kara shrugged "They'll be here soon. Most probably the alphas. Tonight we'll start the last bit of the ritual. Hunting in our wolf forms."
Hayley hummed "And then the ceremony right?"
Kara nodded and closed the space between them, she kissed Hayley softly "Then the ceremony and we start our always and forever along with our daughter.."
Hayley dropped the broom and threw her arms around Kara's shoulders "I can't wait baby."
••••••••••
Outside Hayley and Kara's cabin, Mary who served as their shaman who surprisingly remembered her hybrid savior gathered the alphas intending to join the Crescent has set up the ingredients for the ritual to bind them to Kara and Hayley's pack.
Unsurprisingly the group was joined by Jackson who looked rather happy with giving up his alpha hood for some reason.
Mary waves a smudge stick of sage over a bowl before turning to Kara and Hayley and the rest of the alphas.
Kara watches the proceedings with a pensive expression, she may be open to accepting these people under her and Hayley but she still wondered whether they should spill the secret of Hope being alive and well. Her supposed death was their saving grace and has been for the past few months.
