Kara walks around the courtyard silently sighing at the state of her home, she expected Niklaus or better yet Elijah to make sure to keep it in order and yet the rumors she's heard probably rings true. The quarter wasn't aware that she returned yet , nor it's occupants but it seems like Elijah took his little assignment to a new level and revoked Marcel's banishment.

"You should've called." Kara doesn't take her eyes off the empty bottles of whisky lining the counter , her favorite bottle of bourbon was empty as well

"I didn't think I needed to call to announce my return, after all this is still my home." She said finally taking her eyes off the bottles of liquor and back to her sister. "you seem like you're doing well, enjoying your new found freedom?" She asked genuinely interested.

Freya smiles "Yes, it's rather refreshing not to be leased to one year of life, the curse Dahlia started has disappeared with her death and It's as if I can feel the chains weighing me down with it."

"well I'm happy you feel that way." She paused "Now tell me what's been going on here? Because the reason Hayley and I returned was because our pack is being hunted like animals. Any new faces I should be made aware of?"

Freya frowns "That's the first I've heard of it, the wolves don't really come into the quarter, they mostly stay in the bayou, I've probably seen Jackson thrice in the last four months."

"Yeah because marcels' Vampires moved back in and they didn't want to run into any trouble." Hayley said joining the conversation "Hope's down, she'll probably sleep for a few more hours, jet lag." Hayley said to kara.

She nods with a small smile "Where's Niklaus? Kol or Elijah? Have they all just disappeared?"Kara asks gesturing to the empty compound.

Freya pursed her lips "Klaus decided to have a gallery opening displaying his works over the centuries, Elijah is most likely where he always is, working out his anger in marcels gym and kol is most likely driving Davina up the wall."

Kara snorted at the last bit "The last bit I expected. As for Niklaus, well since mikael is no longer a problem and he's no longer on the run it makes sense that he'd share his hobby with the public."

"Has Elijah and Marcel gotten that close? The last I saw of them they couldn't deal with each other for longer than five minutes before insults started to fly" Hayley comments with a smirk.

Freya shakes her head "Things changed. Some for the better others for the worse. For instance Klaus and Elijahs brotherly relationships' deteriorating by the day."

Kara rolled her eyes "I imagine it's because Klaus killed the girl he fancied."

Hayley slapped her wife's shoulder "Don't be insensitive "

Kara scoffed and sat down "Elijah doesn't have any room to judge, he killed the woman Nik loved once upon a time too. As for as I'm concerned it's tit for tat. Now they're even." The news catches the other two by surprise.

"Oh."

Kara hums "Mm, so Freya any new faces pop up? Someone that looks like they hate werewolves perhaps?"

Freya shakes her head "No" she paused "oh but apparently an old acquaintance of Klaus is in town."

Kara leans forward "An old acquaintance?"

"Mm Lucas, no.. uh Lucien I think. Yeah he's been out with him for the past few nights catching up."

Kara frowns at the mention of the man, the last she saw him was the night the escaped count Martels estate, Elijah compelling Lucien, Tristan and Aurora to assume a few of their identities to lead Mikael off away from them. "Lucien .." she muttered thinking back to the email she received and tsked under her breath "Well it seems I know who owns kingmakers development then."
