Before Kara went back to the compound to endure the dinner with the three vampires she loathed , she was stopped by a call from Marcus, so instead of going to the compound she headed straight for his penthouse. Upon her arrival she saw the expression marring his features and prepared herself for the bad news inevitably to follow.

Marcus hands his sire a drink "As I said on the phone I have news." When Kara doesn't take the drink "You'll need this and I also need you to promise to listen to end before you go and rip auroras head off.

Kara nods "I promise to listen but as for the rest , well depends of the news isn't it?"

"That's the best I'm going to get, so first things first. We've managed to find news on what's happened to Rebekah." Marcus starts licking his chapped lips "According to our sources, Aurora caught wind of her in Spain, Barcelona I believe. Lead her into a trap and contacted one of the local covens for assistance."

Kara frowned  "which coven?"

"De Le Cruz , they were unwilling to help but Aurora offered no choice, she killed three of their most promising witches, also held the covens leaders daughter hostage until they agreed to assist her." Marcus explains

Kara's fingers tightens around the glass "Continue." She said tersely.

"Long story short, the coven helped and desiccated Rebekah and Aurora with her henchmen took it upon themselves and sunk her body to the floor of the ocean."

The glass shattered in Kara's hand and she grit her teeth, anger swelling in her chest "That whore." She muttered furiously "Coordinates?"

Marcus shakes his head frustrated "None, the witches gave us all they knew and the only reason they knew she sunk Rebekah's body , was because the girls father Aurora kidnapped spied on them. Before returning to the coven."

Kara glowered "Aurora will pay for this, perhaps I'll take away something equally as precious, she does love that dullard Tristan.."

Marcus shrugged "She does, it's a smart move but before you do Kara, you should also know the spy we planted, has discovered that Lucien , Tristan and Aurora are working together , despite their façade of despising each other ."

"What's their goal? The prophecy is one thing but why would they want to kill their sires if they'll just die along with them." Kara asked no one in particular before sighing in annoyance "They plan to have themselves un -sired don't they?"

Marcus nods "Mm, Tristan and that cute little group Elijah started, the Strix , have been gathering witches by the dozen, no doubt they'll target the select few talented witches in New Orleans soon."

Kara snorts "Cute?"

Marcus smirked "They are adorable, pretending to hide their true nature behind their expensive suits, there entire creation is pointless, I'm not sure what Elijah wished for but creating them made absolute no sense."

Kara hums in agreement "I don't presume to understand my brothers actions , most of them are derived from his failures in waylaying Niklaus from his chaos.."

Marcus sighs "So what's the plan? We could kidnap Tristan force Aurora to reveal Rebekah's locations , but the fact remains the strix still exhibits a problem, if they want to un-link themselves from your siblings, it stands to reason they might have a way in ending them too."

Kara chewed her lip "The white oak stake, I have the last remaining one, that much I know. As for their intentions , it certainly merits concern. For now. The strix is most likely gathering the witches necessary because performing such a large spell, they'll need all the power they can get." Kara says standing to her feet "As for Aurora and Tristan, I'll take care of that. The strix , infiltrate them, use some of the witches in the brotherhood to join their witches, so that we have an in on what's happening."
