The past has way of coming back

This is goodbye for now I

After returning to the compound with some of Marcel's blood on her shirt she was faced with the firing squads, Niklaus and Elijah gave her strange looks , Freya and Rebekah fawning over Hope too much to realize her somewhat mussed appearance.

Hayley walked up to her first "Done with your errand?"

Kara licked her lips and nodded "Yes." She looked at Elijah and Klaus "I should tell you that Marcel is no more, if there was any truth to the prophecy then he'd fit it's mold perfectly, in addition he was in league with Lucien." The words spilling from her mouth brought absolute silence to the mikaleson home.

Rebekah looked sad , regretful but otherwise didn't respond, perhaps falling in love with Claire had shown her how she deserved to be loved.

Elijah breathed in deeply, allowing the information to settle but Niklaus wasn't as quiet as their older brother.

"You .. killed him."

Kara remained impassive "I did, he's been a thorn in my side for much too long, he lived only because I had more important things to take care of but now, I've ended him and with it a threat to this family and my daughter." She said staring Niklaus straight in the eye.

Klaus stalked up to her, looking as if he was about to say something, but tears welled up in his eyes "I loved him like a son." He hissed furiously

Kara's expression didn't falter, after all she felt no remorse for her actions "But his actions were never for this family. He was never and never will be a member of this family. Or have you forgotten that he was willing to hurt my child in order to live."

Before an inevitable fight could start Elijah clasped Klaus on his shoulder "Niklaus , what Kara did was for our family and its continuation. Marcel was a threat to our vows."

If Kara was surprised by the support she didn't show it. Instead she offered Elijah a nod of thanks, she took Hayley hand and tugged it "Let's go, we have a four hour drive ahead of us."

Lafayette cemetery

Kol sighed softly "Davina." He called gently

Davina turns away from her work and looks to her boyfriend "What's wrong?" She sees his expression "Who?" She asks carefully.

"Marcels dead, Kara found that he and Lucien were working together." He explains but stops when he hears someone approaching "what the hell do you want?" He glares at the figure.

The person steps forward showing themselves to be Lucien. He grins at the original "looking for you."

Kol grits his teeth "Davina go now." He tells his girlfriend

Davina hesitated but Lucien laughs "Oh that won't be necessary." Lucien grins "I simply want to test a theory. Care to be the test subject Kol?"

Kol ignores the bad feeling welling in his gut and goes to attack Lucien..

Somewhere outside New Orleans

Kara sighs softly, since leaving the compound Hayley been rather quiet , making them drive in a tense silence.

"Hayley if you have something to say, just say it. Uncomfortable silence isn't particularly my favorite kind of silence."

"I know Marcel was a threat, but why didn't you just tell me you were going to kill him?" Hayley asked slightly peeved

Kara shrugs "Would you have stopped me?"

Hayley scoffs "No, he threatened to hurt Hope , obviously not."

Kara nods "Well this way Klaus would just be pissed at me, kol found me after, he wanted to take the fall but I refused."

"Okay, next time you're plotting to kill someone , just tell me okay?"
