At 4:00 AM...

Teju was tugging herself inside her blanket, her eyes were wide open sleep was nowhere to be seen. She got up with a sigh, feeling her throat dry up she searched for a jug around her but there was no jug around there.

Teju gently opened her door without making any noise and tip-toed to the kitchen. After drinking water she was returning when suddenly someone pulled her inside a dark room while keeping their hand on her mouth.

The sun ray peeped into my room through my window indicating me a new day has started. I rubbed my bleary eyes and walked to my window. The sun is bright and the sunlight is warm and not harsh. The birds are chirping, and the breeze is cool. The level of noise pollution in the mornings is less compared to the other times of the day. I looked down at my garden and saw it was getting decorated and arranged. Tables, chairs, and stage were being organized. I frowned realizing today is my and Tejasswi's engagement. God whyy???
