[Aezelle's POV]
Everybody and I once thought that I have nothing, that no one cares for me and I am unworthy to be someone's attention.
My entire life changed in just a blink of an eye. Everything happened too fast and now, those people who didn't believe in me are now jealous.
They are jealous because my life became too perfect. I have friends who knows nothing but to protect and care for me, a boyfriend that every girl desires, a sister who loves me so much and a Mother who is forgivable of my mistakes.
But despite those things, people will never know the flaws that runs in my life. The arguments that I had with my friends, misunderstandings with my boyfriend, the envious reasons of my sister and the selfish requests of my Mother.
Yet, everything that keeps happening to my life is naturally balanced... and I can't ask anything for more.
"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday to you!"
"Make a wish, Aezelle!"
Pumikit ako at tuwang-tuwang hinipan ang mga kandila na nakatungtong sa cake ko. It's my 16th Birthday, sweet sixteen and I really could feel how special my birthday is. Kompleto lahat ng Summoners dahil sina Faxton at Kuya Yvo ay pumarito muna since hindi pa nagsisimula ang kanilang klase. I bet they might leave at the end of the month, it's quite saddening though.
"Sige na, kumain na kayo."
Nandito rin ang mga kaibigan ni ate kaya naman sobrang puno ang bahay, so yung Mom at Dad ni Uno ay nag-offer na ipa-stay ang ibang bisita sa kanilang yard kaya may mga iilang mesa at mga upuan ang naroroon.
"Yung mga cousins mo, Uno, pakitawag na sila para makakuha sila ng food."
Nandito rin ang ibang relatives ni Uno. Mom decided to invite them kasi nahihiya siya kay Tito Damon, yung Father ni Uno. Nag-order kasi si Tito ng ibang putahe para idagdag sa celebration.
"Yaan mo na sila, malalaki na ang mga 'yun, e." Tugon niya at tinalikuran ako para tulungan si Mom sa pag-ayos ng mga utensils.
Actually, kanina pa kami nagtatalo na papasukin ang mga pinsan niya para makakuha sila agad ng mga pagkain pero wala, e. Matigas ang ulo ni Uno. Ang reason niya kasi ay masyadong friendly ang mga pinsan niya at baka ma-over entertained daw ako.
"Ikaw na lang, Nette, pakitawag please ang mga pinsan ninyo." Matamis akong ngumiti nung tumango siya.
Naging maingay ang celebration lalo na at naunahan ng mga Summoners ang videoke. May mga konting inuman din at sobrang natuwa ako dahil sobrang friendly ng mga kaibigan ni Ate Joyce. Sila nga ang naunang nakipag-usap sa akin.
"Really? Akala ko nagiging hambog lang si Joyce nung ipinagyabang niya na si Uno Navarro ang boyfriend ng kapatid niya."
"Buti pa si ate, pinagmamalaki ang boyfriend ko. Habang ako, hindi pa rin makapaniwala. Like, hindi ko inaakala na type pala ni Uno mga mukhang 'to." Tawa ko pero i'm just being honest. Parang panaginip lang ang lahat. Kahit nga mga tambay sa kalye ay ayaw pumatol sa akin.
"Ang pretty mo kaya. Hindi ka lang masyadong nag-aayos-"
"She's much beautiful if she stays the way she is. She's simple and kind... and she's enough." Nagulat kami nung sumulpot sa usapan si Uno. His words made me smile and I was so flattered enough to look down.
"Sorry for the interruption, ladies, but can I borrow Aezelle for a minute?" He kindly asked and I felt my cheeks started to heaten up. This insane butterflies feeling again... I just can't get enough of it.
