Nina eyes open slowly her eyes adjusting to the dark recognizing instantly the basement ceiling. Her head was pounding and she tried to slowly sit up in confusion but winced as her body felt sore. Her head really aches and something warm ran down the side of her face, touching it Nina is met with the familiar liquid of blood.
With another attempt Nina sits up and sees a small puddle of blood beneath where her head had just been. Her memory was fuzzy at first not remembering what happened but as her eyes landed on a crowbar in the basement and she froze.
A quick flash of getting hit in the stomach with it made her since finally noticing the harsh pain in her ribs.
Nina stands up wobbly and looks out the small basement window showing it was already bright day outside. Nina goes to check if the door is locked and sighs when it is. She'd be stuck down there until her father deemed her worthy to be set free again. It could be when he got home from work or- it could be in a week from now.
She didn't know what to do with herself at first, she knew she probably looked terrible and needed to clean up but she couldn't.
A few harsh knocks on the front door make her straighten up as she sat on the basements stairs. She quickly stumbled painfully to the window and peered out the best she could. She recognized Two bits cat and opened the old window before waving her hand outside of it.
"Two-bit!" She called making the boy look around before walking around her house to see an arm sticking out the window.
Truth be told he was glad she was alive but when he saw her face he took in a deep breathe at the sight. "Jesus. You look terrible." He said with a serious tone he looked at her in utter disbelief. She could only try and guess how bad it looked.
"What the hell are ya doin down there anyway it's freezing out right now...... doesn't he care at all?" Two bit asks realizing as he talked her father had probably locked her in there intentionally because of the cold.
"I'll be fine. I'm used to it but- don't tell the guys." Nina pleads making the boy look at her with disbelief. She looked like that and was being treated like dirt but she worried more on what the rest of the gang would think? Well Darry's a lil concerned is all- he hasn't seen ya in so long..." two bit trails off as Nina avoids his gaze.
"Well- the doors locked so I couldn't slip away even if I wanted to, plus if he comes home and I'm not here it'll make him mad again." Nina says with a sad far away look when Two-bit looks to get a bright idea.
