"Why are you wearing two bits shirt?" Steve asks like it is absolutely outrageous making Nina curl more into herself unsure why it was a big deal. "I was cold and he said I could have it." Nina explains in a very small and timid voice. Having one of the guys look at her like Steve was right now made her feel self conscious and awkward. Plus there was a tense atmosphere slowly beginning to form between some of the boys once again making Nina grimace.
"What is with you guys flirtin even though I've said I like her." Steve spat bitterly making two bit merely roll his eyes at the insinuation.
"It ain't like that so shut your damn trap and watch Mickey." Two bit says with a slight bitter tone compared to his usual happy one. The entire time Nina could feel Dallas staring at her and then see him look at Steve in her peripheral.
"No I won't shut my trap. I've said it time and time again that Nina is off limits. I already got Dallas not listenin I don't need you actin up too." Steve states as a fact making Two bit slowly look at him with a glare.
In all Nina's time in knowing two bit she never saw him get aggressive, at least not to a fellow greaser and certainly not a boy in the gang.
But it seemed he finally had enough.
"She's not a damn thing to be fightin over Steve. She's my best friend and you treating her like damn property is gettin really old, you don't have a claim on her. Nina's not datin anyone and she's available until she does. You don't get a say unless she dates ya. Now- let's just watch Mickey and stop fightin already." Two bit huffs aggressively standing and getting a beer to return to his once mellow state.
Steve rolls his eyes and watches the boy walk out before his eyes go to Nina who watches two bit leave. Her eyes then flick to Steve before looking away quickly to the floor.
"What is your problem Randall. Jealous?" Dallas suddenly speaks up making the rest of the boys groan not wanting a repeat of last time. Dallas watched Steve stare Nina down and it made him annoyed for some reason even he didn't know.
Couldn't Steve see how uncomfortable Nina looked?
"Just mind your own business Dally." Steve says with a tired sigh but Dallas stares the boy down as he continues to look at Nina.
"Listen here piss head, I am minding my business but your annoyin the fuck outta me. All this cryin over the fact she won't date ya. And news flash she don't want to." Dallas smirks at the end as Nina goes absolutely rigid. She forgot she had admitted that to him just a few hours ago.
